Legalities of studded tires vary widely depending on the region you live, even in Canada. I think studded tires are legal year round in the province I live (not that anyone would want them on year round anyway) while in other provinces it's legal only from October/November to April. Still, some other provinces allow it to be used in the northern regions (with restrictions) but not anywhere else. Gotta check your legislations before putting them on.

It's like snow-chains. It's actually illegal to NOT drive with them in place and others you can't at all.

2 of the 3 trucks I've rolled were on ice. Both 4x4 with agressive mud tires. You def have a better chance with front wheel or 4 wheel drive but ice is a bitch regardless.

well picked up my s2000 today-shes awesome.....i was very tentative driving her home as for the first time since the accident, we are expecting heavy frost overnight so didnt want a repeat accident.

other than the steering allignment being slightly out (which ill get them to rectify) she drives as new.

the work completed in the end was a new bonnet, near side wing, near side passenger door, near side skirt, nearside headlight unit, front near side alloy wheel & suspension, rear bumper and new twin exhaust....total value-5K.

they wanted to write it off but i pushed to get them repair it and glad i did.

now its away in the garage over the winter after a good engine clean.

then im debating whether to do some modding i.e. body kit, bigger rims and new ICE...but at 36, im being told im no boy racer anymore!

Do it! You're never too old to have a cool looking car. Just don't put a fart can on it and think that you'll get extra "horsepower". If you do, remember that every sticker you put on adds 5 horsepower. ;)

ha ha, nice to hear from you again dave-hope you are ok!
decided not to mod, just upgrade the ICE and make perfect the slight defects like the scuffs on the rims.

im thinking of getting a custome boot install for the ICE.....
