Yesterday there arrived some card blocks here, and I decided that they are awesome to put my X-Metal coins in.



But I also found that they won't stay exactly in the middle and that the O-logo on the coin isn't completely visible.
So now I was thinking that it might be cool to make some inserts for them that you can put in so that the coins stay stable and centered and the whole O-logo is visible.

I am thinking of drawing the inserts and let them be lasercut (I know a guy who does lasercutting from the Radio Control scene that I am in).

Not sure what it'll be going to cost. But maybe you might be interested in some of these. I will be asking for a price soon, but maybe you can let me know if you are interested, so the price can be lower for all of us. The more there will be, the cheaper it will be :)

that is exactly what I used the blocks for too! I have literally like 50 of them and found they were useless, until then LOL

Did the same here, too. But I don't have any problem with them sitting centered. Maybe the slits in my display blocks were cut thinner - they feel a little tight when I try to put the coin in a couple of them.

try and get ahold of the new acrylic blocks that are starting to show up in the O stores, then you could see all of the coin....sorry no pics just yet, but they are there.

Yeah, the new blocks (the black ones) are tiny and would work great for coins. Otherwise, get one of those spinning lens displays and throw them in there.

Cut business cards down and cut a 1/2 moon on one side then set the coin in it. It will also keep it in place.

The issue I have is how to display the new X-Metal coins. They don't fit in anything. Would love to see some creative options.

Disturbed - You may be able to run a hack saw blade through it to fit the coins. Or something to that effect.

the new coins fit in the spinning lens displays so I'd gather they'd fit in the other lens displays. That being said, Don's got the right idea about widening that slot, BUT, you're pretty committed once you start removing material.

well i have the coin holders, and the x metal display with coin holder, and the alumium blocks are also the way to go !
