I received these pair as a wedding present. I wanted a clear pair, so I could live my dream of having a pair for every lighting condition. The are good indoors and at night, and really the only time you should wear them is in very bright sun, specifically during the morning when the sun is low. They still block 100% of UV light, so really you're getting the proper protection at times when sunglasses would be silly. Which is never, but some people think otherwise.

Snagged these in the Hollywood O-Store. Very 'Matrix' like; the external lens reflectiveness is outstanding. Provide a very dark contrast for bright conditions. I wouldn't recommend these for overcast or 'darker' days. Very, VERY lightweight. They stand out from other Wire frames.

not sure if there are any differences between the t-wire and the t-wire 2.0.

anyway, mine are the non-hinge t-wires, not the hinged titanium square wires. absolutely awesome. i am a believer of less is more. no hinges means no extra weight, and 1 less (or a pair) components to fail.

i own the a-wires, e-wires, and c-wires. the t-wire is by far my favorite. i have used them for the past 5 years now (?), and they still look new. i just have to change the ear socks and nose pads. in fact, they are on their 3rd set of replacement socks and pads.

titanium is the way to go!

Having owned both the T-wire 2.0 and the Titanium Square Wires with spring hinges, there are more differences than the hinges.

The T-wires have ever so slightly smaller lenses, so they are NOT interchangeable with the square wire lenses. Also, the icons on the temples are embossed, where as on the Squares they are the more traditional applique.

I prefer the T-wires simply due to their rarity. Other than that, it's pretty much a tossup. I didn't find the spring hinges to be a tremendous advantage, and they did add some weight.

Not being a fan of the design of the original T-Wire, Oakley's decision to redesign the frame to resemble the Square Wire was more than welcome. The frame is durable and extremely lightweight, making you almost forget you're wearing these glasses after a while. Titanium Iridium also compliments the frame (not just in terms of semantics), and provides an excellent view in a variety of light conditions. Perhaps the only drawback is the lack of spring hinges, which would have truly set this pair on a pinnacle. Since other "Titanium Wires" with spring hinges were later released, they would probably be a better choice.

these sunglasses are amazingly light! the first time i picked them up i could not believe how featherweight they were. of course that translates to all day wear comfort, but unfortunately i think they look a bit too small on me. with my experience these feel even smaller than the current Square Wire 2.0 SH. the Titanium Lenses look different than all other Ti-Clears i've encountered, these definitely are darker with a more reflective mirror coating. also, the "TITANIUM" laser etched lens is cool. very nice set of sunglasses.

One of my favourite, most worn pairs. These are really comfortable and suit my face very well. Obviously being Ti they are very stong and have resisted the 'sit' test with no problems! I've sent them back to Oakley UK on one occasion for a tune up, as the earstems had become loose and no amount of tightening the screws helped. They came back good as new. The only problem I have with these is that the right hand lens has become a bit scratched up.
