cool boots..the design is awesome and the weight is not heavier than it looks. comfort wise, the cushion blends in with your feet.. wished the inner sole dont melt that fast. had to change it to a better one..

I have been wearing a pair of these as work shoes for at least 2 years now. I have had them so long the black leather has turned green. Best pair of shoes I have ever owned. The inside is breaking down a bit now so time for a new pair. Worn almost every day for 2+ years! No sole or eyelet issues here.

bought these for work but way too nice to ruin at the shop. super bad ass boots!

These were not so great, the sole was not put on right on one of my boots and was out of possition and the waterproofing failed about about 30 days of wear.

The can be comfortable with some inserts when standing alot but with out them it would get old fast.

I have the Flak6 model - black. These are fantastic motorcycle boots. I was looking for an Oakley boot that would cover the ankle but have a small enough toe to operate the shifter properly. The old NAIL mids were great, just not high enough. The SI boot's toe's cap seam catches on the shift peg, and the Casing - well its just too cumbersome. I have used the Flak 6 on both my Harley and sportbikes, and its almost like it was designed as a motorcycle boot. Great marks for looks too.

Colour: Flak Jacket Black / Charcoal

Picked these up in New York and had them for aroun 6months now. Great set of boots, very comfortable and look the business.

No problems with laces as others have described. My main use is just general urban use. I'm not hiking or doing any building work etc. I wouldn't want to ruin them as they look so nice :-)

Flak Jacket Brown / Black

Ditto on what Fin7 said.

The top metal lace on mine fell off too so I had to drill an eyelet.Ive been wearing mine for work and it only lasted 3 months. As mentioned the leather are soft so you really dont need a break in period. As far as sizing you might want to get it half a size bigger to get the right fit.

My major concern with the Flak is; I am on my third pair, The top lace catches are not secure enough, I've had 3 of these from seperate shoes fall off, Finally gave up sending then back and pierced the leather to make an eyelet. Maybe a design flaw on a particular run.

Now all that aside, they are extremely comfortable, needing very little wear in. Waterproof as you would expect. And I find them very breathable. Sturdy quality leather which always polish up nicely

flak jacket in dune is my latest addition to the shoe collection. i've been wearing em in the store for a couple of days now, and i must say, the feel great from early in the morning up untill late in the night. my feet don't get tired thebreathability seems good, the colour is of course personal, but dune looks very nice underneath a pair of jeans.they seem to be waterproof, but i've not tested that - yet -
hight is also perfect, you don't feel them up against your ankles or what-so-ever. great shoes to have

Pro: Waterproof. Very grippy sole.
Con: Hot. Pinches top of foot.

As far as "hiking" style, mid-high boots go, these are about average. Style-wise, they're about the best looking boots you'll find. I bought the dark brown ones.

I know Oakley likes to market these as both breathable and waterproof, but I kind of question the breathable part. They get pretty hot and sweaty after wearing them for a few hours. They're definitely waterproof though. I've had Timberlands and Merrells that had superior breathability and were also waterproof.

The best part about these boots are the soles. They're very grippy from what I can feel. When I hop into my C6 Vette after stepping through water, every shoe I own slips off my clutch and brake pedals. These are the only ones that truly hold when the soles are wet.

Color: Khaki
Great underrated boots- they look like shoes, but they feel like boots-the sole is very solid-it takes some time wearing them before they will even bend at the ball of the foot in a squat.
Great aggessive design-indeed waterproof!-
Like all Oakley footwear, I have had to opt for a full size larger than I use with other brands-Usually take a 12, and Oakley 13's fit perfect. Anyone else experience this?
The sole is great, but fills up with mud, and other stuff-I would NOT wear these to take the dog to the barkpark!-GASP!
The khaki looks nice, but marks easily-fortunately, they clean up well with a brush and soapy water.
high marks-I'm surprised how often I wear them.
