Thought I was a big Oakley stud until I found this place. Collection doubles in first year, doubles again shortly thereafter - and the addiction is complete. I like Oakley, like a few others here.
Can't say enough great things about o-review and my respect and mutual support for the members here. Some of the greatest 'pay it forwards' are done right here, among friends.

Very cool, JP. I just happen to be browsing on this spartan blades knife, which your wife should also get you to complete the collection!

I just can’t believe we’ve gone this far without folks recalling the $50 leather mars at the parking lot sale! Not that I was there myself, but some things you just can’t forget. LOL

So jealous that you were at Blade Show this year! Not sure I will ever have (or make) the opportunity to attend, but it sounds like an amazing time. I finally added a Stider SNG to my collection a few months ago. Super happy with it, very smooth and fidgety. That Strider/O mashup looks amazing. Hope you had a great time at Blade!

A bit excited for this one - one of the most interesting takes on a knife design that I’ve seen. Full size knife, utilizing carbon fiber absolutely anywhere possible. The blade is largely carbon fiber, with just a metal insert to make up the cutting edge. Insanely light, and shocking great action. From an individual maker (VC Edge).

I do like the Clifden, and that fade frame is looking pretty cool.

I believe I spotted $1,500 on today’s extra’s signup form. Those are pretty neat pieces, quite larger than many of his other fidget series pieces.

So loosely related, but i was looking through a couple swag/brochure items from my first visit to HQ back in 1999, and the Fall 99 software catalog of hats got me feeling the feelings for the berets and beanies. Oh, winter hat!

Excellent shot! I snapped a sacrificial earstem to help keep your pair pristine.

I’ve got the heart eyes for today’s delivery. Essentially been waiting 14 months for one to be built and distributed to a dealer.
My Chris Reeve Sebenza family ... hoping it stays at these 3!

Reminiscing on great designs anytime I snag the Antix or Hijinx.

What an event, congrats to those that snagged one. Personally, I would only take exception with the limited quantity. If you are only making 20, selling them for a crazy $2k is the best move to control scalping to whatever extent possible.

Early on, I picked up the Spyderco Sharpmaker, and have just kept with that plus an extra couple varying grit stones. It seems to do a good job, only limited by my inexperience. From what I understand, the sharpmaker’ s main limitation may be any serious re-profiling of a blade if necessary.

Unfortunately my wallet can’t control the releases of all these knives and brands, but a lot of nice quality blades out there.

A quick google search could have fixed the founder of Oakley’s name, Jim Jinard.

A new addition today - the Native 5 is likely my overall favorite model from Spyderco. Currently have 9 variations, each with a different handle, and 8 different steels.

First rule of thumb should always be to wear what you like.
Chances are, the models that came out when we more closely fell within the target market are NOT styles that today’s youth market would be laying claim to. I’m sure they will let us have our Straight Jackets.

I’m pretty certain the O hobby both eroded my ability to be patient and granted me great powers in justification.
I’ve had an order placed for a new Chris Reeve Sebenza since last July, but it may very well be until Aug or Sep before it is ready. In the meantime, I’ve convinced myself this recent pickup will hold me over.
