Hey guys, I was a member many years ago but for some reason I lost my account (maybe because im from UK?)
Anyway great to see you can sign up again.
Ive been an Oakley fan and collector for over 15 years.
Ive had some great items in my collection such as medusa and Rusty/Eddie timebombs (tagmclaren is the proud owner of these watches now)
Ive had to sell many items over the years but still kept some personal crown jewels like overthetops etc.
Ive had over 20 pairs of shoes and hundreds of clothing pieces. My glasses sit in my old school double metal case that I got from my first oakley dealer, I waited 17 years for the display cabinet!
Ive got loads of bags and accessories, it will a task to catalogue everthing but I look forward to it.
Luckily ive kept EVERY tag from every purchase (unless sold on) so I should be able to catalogue easily. Its a couple a shoe boxes full of tags!
I dread to think how many 1000's of £'s ive spent over the years.
Thanks for reading and welcoming back to the site.
I live and breathe Oakley and bleed red code blood lol!
Cheers from Scotland!

Cant believe the site is back up again! So I though I would reintroduce myself! My name is Tim from the UK, still Oakley at heart even though I haven't bought anything for ages since the take over of Lux. Great to be back!

It would be interesting to see what Jim can come up with. Thing is, does LUX own all the rights and patents? For example could Jim produce a pair of glasses but without the amazing Oakley technology?
In the beginning for me it was all about the crazy attitude to design and also the lens technology making Oakley IMO the best lens technology out there. I have noticed since the Madman Badman release things have really slowed down.
If Jim could create this J brand using Oakley technology and crazy design then I'm up for it....

Very nice knives, Tim.

I gotta invest in some quality kitchen knives one of these days. I had looked at Shun or Global sets but haven't pulled the trigger. - Oak

Thanks Oak!
Globals for me were terrible to use as you get calluses on your hand after using only for a short while, yes they are quite sharp but are just in a different league to Miyabi. Shun are a good buy and will last long and keep a good edge. But as before just don't have the edge of the Miyabi 5000MCB's.
IMO Miyabi are like Oakley lenses, the best! Shun are like Ray-bans. Close but no cigar!
Check out some YouTube vids on miyabis, it will blow you away, not to mention the absolute beauty they carry but just how god damn sharp they are! I shit myself every time I use them and I've been chopping onions etc for nearly 20 years professionally! But at the end of the day it's how you feel using a good knife. Each to their own brother!

I think an after closing "lock in" for us would be great, 50% off shopping spree! Then have a few beers and discuss everything O, get a sneak peek into new products etc. Maybe some sort of giveaways would be nice. After all most of us have spend thousands over the years and we are the back bone of Oakley, without us there would be no need for all the limited edition models as most people would turn away from the prices! Many of the athletes are given loads of products to try, why can't the average man on the street get some freebies to show off, we are collectively advertising Oakley on a daily basis! How many people ask about your glasses or what watch your pimping, a lot of people don't even know Oakley make watches!

Anyway rant over! Just being around fellow O lovers is cool, a healthy discount would be great though! And also plenty of notice to get organised...

Of course they should have polarised etched into the left lens, though I have Juliet vr28 black iridium polarised lenses with not etching as they were ocp lenses, when I questioned Oakley on this they said to check if polarised by performing the above checks.
As for the flaking of the lens, one of my wife's dartboards have even worse problem, don't know how it happened but the lens is ruined and unwearable!

Simple to tell if polarised, just look at a computer screen while wearing them and you should see colours of the rainbow up and down the screen, I have also noticed this in rear car windows. Are these definitely authentic? Do you still have the box? Seems like E wires to me, early production? Hopefully other members will help, nice to see you on the best Oakley forum!

Yeah though as much, if I can't get £300 then I won't bother. Maybe they will just stay in my tower! After all they are the beginnings of Oakley shades...
Thanks.@Dann.

Hey guys im thinking of selling my limited edition heritage collection box on ebay. Just wondering what you guys think the collection may be worth? I paid retail at £455 and they just sit in my oakley tower unused.
There were 15 collection boxes made where you could choose which 3 colour combos you'd like.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!
