I really miss the FMJ as well. One of my favorite frames are my FMJ/Fire polarized minutes. I can't wait for some new FMJs on something new.

I tried them on at my local OPD here in Canada already, Wednesday I think. The owner didn't mention anything about being pushed back.
Hopefully they're revamping them, because they suck. (My opinion)

Hey guys. Been away for the last 2 days on a class trip to Rochester NY to see the Bausch and Lomb contact lens research and manufacturing facility. Typical wine and dine trip where they try to convince us that their products are the best for our patients, blah blah blah. I'm not complaining though, free meals, accommodation and more importantly, booze. Good times. Anyways...
Just got back today, and stopped at my local OPD here in Waterloo. To my surprise, Gascan in the doublewide! Rootbeer/Bronze must have been. Tried em on, don't work for me. Too big, too boxy. Close to MonsterDog size, but don't work for me. I had a pair of Polished/Polarized Dogs, and they were money. They were big, yet well balanced. I found the Gascans too boxy, so they seem to stick out to the side too much, where the Dogs wrapped. I also think they're too plain. From the front, they look like every other rectangular fashion frame. The new icon is deadly though.
Sorry about the negativity, I hope you guys have better luck with them than I did.

Hahaha, actually I'm guilty of saying that a few times myself. Another good one I've heard was by a contest winner in MensHealth mag. His idea was "lenses that make my foresight as good as my hindsight". I thought that was pretty good. If only Oakley could develop something like that!?

Don't get me wrong, I love the titanium and VR lenses. I couldn't wait to get the VR28 crosshairs, but when I saw Carrigan wearing them, I could see his eyes! I didn't expect that with the Black iridium in there, and I don't really like that. I can't wait for the Ti Polarized Crosshairs (if in fact they are made).

Personally, I'm starting to miss the emerald, fire/ruby, and ice on the newer models. Granted, some of the 'fashion' frames are pretty big and 'in your face' type styling, so I think the more subtle colors are fitting.
However, I'd still like to see, for example, an Emerald Crosshair, or an Ice or Fire Gascan. (Fire Gascan seems almost a no-brainer!)
Anyone agree, or am I off in left field here?

Hey guys. I'm Matt from Alberta, Canada. I'm 23 years old and currently studying Optometry (3rd year, almost done!) in Waterloo, Ontario. I stumbled across this site about 3 months ago but just got around to joining now.
First off, hats off to Dann and everyone responsible for this site. Everythings already been said, so I second all the praise.
I've been an Oakley nut since I was about 15 and bought my first pair of eye jackets (full metal/black). When they introduced the Romeo in 97, I was hooked for life. Foolishly, but so worth it, I spent my summer clothes money on my MJ Romeo (2701) in '97 and I've been hooked since. I started posting my collection, but I have to study for my last final, so I'll finish that later.
One cool part of my collection is the fact that I have the MJ Romeos, Juliets, and Leather Mars, and I have each matching poster with Jordan wearing them. When I grow up and have my own house, each poster will be framed on the wall, with the matching Oakleys displayed underneath.
As for future aspirations, I'd like to be an OPD some day. I mentioned that I'm studying Optometry, and my love of Oakley had a small role in that decision. As a future eyecare professional, I appreciate the unsurpassed optics and poison protection provided by Oakley, and I can't wait to be able to pass that quality on to my patients.
I feel like I'm rambling now, so I'll close with an addition to the P.W. club. My most recent purchase, sadly, almost 9 months ago. Later Bros
