With all the new releases, FMJ frames seem to be non-existant. Nothing in Riddle, Gascan, Bottlecap, Monster Dog or Doggle. The last was the Platinum Unknown.

I could include the Chrome GCans and BCaps, but that's still not very much. Is Oakley phasing out FMJ frames?

does everyone remeber the special FMJ sleeve boxes that vintage oakleys used to come in?

cos as i think about it i dont remeber any of my recent FMJs coming with different boxes.

I really miss the FMJ as well. One of my favorite frames are my FMJ/Fire polarized minutes. I can't wait for some new FMJs on something new.

Yeah, I miss the FMJ 5.56 frames that used to be common on new relesaes. I also really like FMJ+. White Chrome to a lesser extent.

Its tragic indeed. FMJ colors are my favorite. Almost all of my O-Matter frames are FMJ

I figure they stopped doing them altogether, cos of the coating flaking off, especially on half jackets, it was covered under warranty, so it cost them too much to replace. There is a customer who comes in my shop all the time and has gone through like 6 pairs of half jackets cos he is crap at changing the lenses, despite my attempts to teach him.
I think they stopped making the other ones too, cos if you got scratched lenses, it was too easy to flake off a bit of paint and get a whole new pair under warranty.

Isn't Black Chrome an FMJ? It's available now in the Bottlecap at all SGH stores and coming soon in the Gascan, but necessarily to us.

I was never a huge FMJ fan anyway, esp the chromes. I don't think they've been flaking as much any more as they had been in the begining. Maybe O just doesn;t see them as a fit with their new looks right now?

Erm yes Chrome is FMJ, you're right, but that's all there's been.

I agree that FMJ Red or Electric Blue wouldn't work with the current lineup too well (Elec Blue Gascan? Ugh) but I bet FMJ+, Gunmetal, Platinum, and Copper would work quite well for most, if not all, the new stuff. Polished Aluminum is also a candidate.

There is a planned Plasma Bottlecap coming, and I know it's not an FMJ color, but it pretty much looks identical to the Platinum FMJ. There's a dark grey o-matter frame as well that's non FMJ but really looks like it could have been. Maybe this is the way they're going now.

Holy Crap! My OPD just got a White Chrome/+Red Minute. Why they never used that color on more frames is beyond me.

The White Chrome/+Red Minute is awesome. I agree with you Brian. That color combo should've been on at least a few others, so that bigger heads could take advantage of its coolness.
