In CT theres a small chain of eyewear retailers called Kennedy & Perkins, and the last time I was there, they told me that incase they didn't stock a certain model, they could order any pair of Oakley sunnies that were in mass production.
A month later, I'm now wondering if they can only order sunglasses or any Oakley product (apparel, lanyards, shoes, etc). When I think about it, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't have the ability to do that; they probably just don't want to because its not their specialty.
So I'm kind of wondering what makes a dealer an OPD. Do they have to sell Oakley products and no other brands? Tomorrow I'm going to call them but I'd like to know what those on the O-Review think.

And CT, yo.

It doesn't seem interested in playing itself for me. How disappointing!

Lionel, that's so unfair. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose so much in so little time. My deepest sorrows, for you and your loved ones... And your collection.

Yo.
There happens to be a few discontinued shoes that I'm looking for in size 13, and eBay is going really slow. I was wondering if anyone here knew of a list of Vaults across the states (and maybe Canada too) that includes their phone numbers?
Thanks

I am absolutely in love with the Oakley Flinch, and I must have it. The problem is that the shoe is nowhere to be found on the web except a single site from the UK (but they only have sizes 9 and 14), and I think I need a 12.
From the numerous searches I've conducted, I can tell that Zappos.com definitely stocked Flinches at one time, but they no-longer have them. I also searched Oakley's website. The US version does not list the shoe in its catalogue, however the Canadian version does. Was the shoe not retailed in the states?
I guess this shoe was in common stock about 2 years ago. So my ultimate question is, provided that the Flinch was sold in the states, is there any possibility that some Vaults might have a couple pairs leftover?

The person who submitted that entry was obviously trying to establish a mix of factuality and humor.

Well, my loyalty lies in the O and not RED, so I will not be with those of you who are willing to move on to that. I support Oakley; not necessarily Jannard's ventures. Besides, I don't have anywhere near enough cash to spare for the RED One. And I would never use it.
But what I would like right now is perhaps a reminder... maybe for all of us:
Through whatever means of whatever it is that we do, what are we trying to accomplish in the end?

I completely agree, that webcast gave me shivers... it sounded so evil, and doom-impending. So now they want to make some Wires and acetates in China?
Does anyone know when this will be in effect? Because I want to finish up and get all of the wires I was planning on getting before they start being made there.
And do you guys think they will shut out the X-Metal line, that practically defines Oakley?

God... its all over. The Oakley I knew is no more. As have many of you, I have seen the end result of these so-called "mergers". Someone as insignificant as myself can now only buy-up everything Oakley that I can, make a shrine, and keep those fond memories close in my heart.
The O-Pocalypse it is, indeed; I too shall don black garments.

Oh I see.
According to the map I'm looking at, the SoHo O-Store is almost 30 miles closer than the Vault in Massachusetts.
Haha, oh well.

Damnit, we need at least a Vault in connecticut. I have to go to NYC every time I want to buy something, or use the internet.
By the way, does anyone know if the O-Stores will be bringing in new display units and replacing the current ones? My guess is not, since they just would be unnecessary expenses.

The sight of these Foakley Pennies made me die a little inside.

He's got a couple Foakley Juliets too, but his Minutes look legit... although the chances of some being real and others fake is rather low.

Ok thats totally understandable.
Also, I agree with you Freesh, It probably would've been a square had those chronographs not been there, but I think it still looks nice with the "x" shaping.

Awesome, I love how they worked those diamonds into an "x".
Also, whats the difference between a TT and a Minute Machine? Just different names for the same product?

In Smokin' Aces, after the credits, a blooper reel of some sort plays. Ray Liotta's character is wearing the Why (either the 8 or 8.1)

Haha, awesome. Now I know who those killer display towers come from.
Turns out that just like Oakley, they have some sick office space.

And some info from Transworld Snowboarding: According to this, maybe we could wedge ourselves into the action and get Oakley and Morgan to build us a dozen extra fixtures with their next bulk order. I don't think the towers cost more than a grand per piece (not sure though).
“Our clients are some of the largest in the industry,” says Carlson. “Our manufacturing capability allows for cost savings based upon volume orders. We operate best in quantities of about 100 to 1,000 because of shop size, man power, and fabrication capability, but we’ll go above and below those quantities when needed.”
The company broke into the action-sports industry by building a relationship with Oakley, and Carlson says that the work they performed for them opened a lot of doors: “We began working with Oakley back in the day, helping them create their first all-aluminum eyewear tower. A great relationship was formed because we had the ability to physically manufacture the unique creations flowing from their {Oakley’s design team} brains. From there, we gradually gathered more work in the industry as our reputation for creative and aesthetic details spread.” From conceptualization to creation, Morgan Concepts works with manufacturers to create custom fixturing. Carlson says the company’s ability to build one-of-a-kind creations quickly allows them to stay competitive."17Y

eh I'll push my luck. I wonder if they will last two weeks in the SoHo O-Store, because I'll be going to NYC again on the 26th.
