Hi,

I notified that on 2 very old school / vintage Romeo 1 titanium, earsocks become stick / glue. Have you this problem too. I have a lot other oakley sunglasses most old again which haven't this problem. Is there a way to fix this problem ? Thanks for your answer !

Thanks

Those have the rootbeer earsocks, correct?? My experience with old rootbeer earsocks is that they are especially prone to become sticky/tacky with age.

Yes, I agree with Oogie...rootbeer rubbers do tend to become more stickier than black ones, with use on the R1

Sticky earsocks are always a result of the oils in your skin reacting with the rubber compound.

Over time, if the oil is not totally cleaned off, almost every time you wear them (which is difficult) or simply put back into a microfiber bag and left, the problem will arise.
