Agreed, Dorian. Some distressed tan SI Assault gloves would've finished off the look nicely.

Watching American Idol with the fam... yes i know thats another story. There was a commercial for I cant believe its not butter and it was a music video styled commercial "Turn the tab around..." but the chef in the commercial is wearing rootbeer flak jackets with gold lens probably polarized. Just thought it was funny and something to look out for.

Spoiler, I guess....

I think the female AP Vest makes an appearance in the Book of Eli, near the end and on Solara (sp?). Well, the sholder rings do anyway.

Hackers being on TV earlier reminded me of this, it only appears briefly...

"Book of Eli" was amazing. As we have seen time and again in the cinema, to properly survive the end of civilization, one requires Oakley stuffs.

And KFC wetnaps. Which, IMO, was one of the oddest product placements I've ever seen.

these look like E-Wires but I cant really make out any etching on the nosebridge (unless the studio 'shopped it out on the promo pics)

ps given up on the Welsh language channel yet Travis? lol

The E-wires in that picture are knock-offs. I knew something looked wrong about the hinge. Plus, the earstems are not "Hammer Fang"ish. If the were the 2.0, there would have been an "O" on the front of the hinge, even if it were photoshopped out, there would be some kind of blurring, like that of the nose bridge.

hard to tell the detail on the stems, the hinge doesn't seem to have the same curvature as proper e-wires though which is why I wasn't entirely sure, the lens shape and frame proportions look dead on though.

Maybe Oakley should get in touch with MGM, they're promoting knock offs and the last thing we need is BMCAPS and Amermscle getting more potential business lol

Ehy guys was watching the golden globes and it went to commercial. It was a chase commercial where a couple was on a ski lift. the husband was on his cell phone wasnting to find out if they had enough points to extand their winter vacation and when the camera panned out, i think it was a black jawbone porpped on his head... just needed somebody else to confirm coz i have 20 bucks on the line that it indeed was a black jawbone with black iridium lens.

Book of Eli was great. As someone already said above, it clearly forms the assumption that Oakley products survive an apocalyptic war, Oakley book bags are nearly bullet proof and the sunglasses prevent blindness.

Also, hairless cats are good eats, mice eat cats, Machetes are enchanted by God...and a few other things! Still, amazing movie.

Book of Eli, great movie but can anyone tell which frame color was used for the Inmates? It's got to be either polished chrome or gold.

I have it on good authority that it was the standard gold frame that they sanded down to make a matte gold look.

looked chrome to me, but not real sure. You don't get any clear reflective type shots. Looked like Mila Kunis was wearing Oliver Peoples...Like the O backpack and various goggles throughout the flik...
