This would be my dream job. Any ideas suggestions on how to do this? What education or experience is necessary?

Any business or marketing degree, or relevant sales experience and know the right people. Dose not hurt if your are an ex athlete with ties to Oakley.

They are hard jobs to get.

Yeah, that's what I was told. I would be perfect, IMHO, for a job like that...as many of us would be. I didn't even know who to contact. If you find out, please let me know as well.

You would want to contact the sales department at Oakley! But there is a hiring freeze on everything at the moment though. But once they start hiring, I know that there will be one needed in the Ohio region. My old Oakley manager became a rep and let me know about this. He now loves his new job and is getting a lot of things from it!

I hear that! If there are developments on this, please let me know. I nominate... anyone. It's time to get some representation in this area!

Oakley does have a job site you can watch for postings on. Sometimes rep positions make it there. But keep in mind there are inside reps and outside reps. Inside work for O directly and there are only about 14 of them. Outside work for an independent agency overseen by O. That would be most of the reps you meet at ski shops, OPDs, etc. It's on main rep and then their underlings that cover the accounts. The insides handle national accounts like SGH, Nordstrom, Macy's.

In your case Dave, you'd most likely need to contact the head of your local reps. I do know they like to pluck employees from some of their bigger accounts when they have openings. You can get the info from Am Athlete because these would be the reps that serve them.
