i think that the vavle was released in 2003. i bought one right after they came out. they were actually my second pair, they replaced the minutes that my girlfriend at the time broke!

I'll second the 2003 release year. My wife gave me a pair as my wedding gift ... so they must have been a somewhat new release at the time.

I think it really depends on the day and the Vault. I have had really good visits to both the Vegas one and the Washington State one (heck, last time we were there the girl recognized us), but not so much fun at the store in Carslbad.

All depends...

2003. The Scar came out in 2002, and the next year it was axed, and the Plate/Valve replaced it. All this info is in the wiki and the timeline page.

As a former Vault manager, I have to say that my staff were all O fanatics and I saw to it that my staff were knowledgable and could not only ID old frames but also were able to spot fakes.

Sorry, I tend to get kinda defensive of Vaults. A Vault was my first O-employment experience!

cool. I wish all the manager's had the same level of commitment to product knowledge that you have.
