Thought I might start a thread to discuss the season...

My intention is to not get into some BS arguments about who's better but to just discuss the teams/games. If it get's outta control it will be instantly pulled.

My team - the Chiefs...

We are ranked to seriously suck this year but we didn't look as bad as we feared against the Patriots last Sunday. Never expected to win. The big news on TV is that Bernard took out Brady for the season. Unfortunate for them but good for everyone they face. For what it's worth - we lost our starting QB as well.

We face the Raiders this Sunday. They didn't fair so well tonight against the Broncos so I guess we can be optimistic for Sunday.

I read that the loss of Brady will cost the Fantasy Football league roughly 150M. That is amazing to me since I don't play and had no idea....

Nik,

It's interesting to hear you say that the TV media is talking about Bernard making that hit on Brady, because every article I read is doing the same thing. It will be an article about Brady getting injured, I'll be reading along, and BAM, they slap Bernard's name in there like they're calling him out for the hit.

Are their accusations of it being a dirty play, because it seems like they're associating Bernard with it pretty hardcore. I only saw the replay once, and I didn't notice anything dirty, but it was over in the blink of an eye.

My Cowboys sure looked good while disposing of the Browns (a team that some people had tipped as contenders for the AFC championship).

The reason that the Patriots are complaining so much about the hit which took out Brady is that they know it was a deliberate play. They know that because they have film of the Chiefs' practice showing the players practicing that each same hit and because the signals that the Patriots communication staff intercepted prove that the play was specifically called by the Chiefs' coaches.

Nice Harry...

Yes, your 'Boys looked good against my team's brown and orange. I can't really say that they were playing a team, because I don't think any of Cleveland's guys actually showed up. I'm pretty sure it was just empty uniforms and helmets.

My Boss and Sales guy work at Corporate in Cleveland so I watched some of the Browns game. Suffice it to say - they were none too thrilled about the Browns performance.

I'm actually excited about the Raiders game on Sunday. We have 23 new starters so performance is still completely up in the air for us. Apparently we signed a new backup QB yesterday - can't remember who....

You can't have 23 new starters! Well, not unless you do something girlie like naming a starting kicker.

Harry,

Ready for Monday night? It'll be a test to see if my Eagles are for real or the Rams were really that bad.

Damn.. We sucked so bad it's taken me 3 days to talk about it... Nevermind. I don't want to talk about it. This is gonna be (another) painful season.

I hope your teams did much better!

Got to be said that McNabb and Westbrook were both looking very very good against a tough Dallas defence.

I'm still quite certain that the Eagles and Cowboys will split the games this year...leading to a great playoff structure I'm sure. You have to think they're the two best teams in the game right now.

After the way they dismantled the Packers last night, it looks very much like the Cowboys are the best team in the league right now. Speakin as a Cowboys fan, I must point out that there is of course still plenty of time for everything to go horribly wrong....

Chiefs got hammered again... 3 games - 3 new QB's... Guess I should be a cowboys fan - Dallas does have a great O representation.

Yes, Dallas looks strong.

Well, 3 weeks in and I'm turning my attention to the college action. I need to scout who the top three picks in next year's draft will be and who the Browns should take with one of those picks. Nik, our teams and anyone from St. Louis can duke it out for the #1 overall.

Well as long as Romo keeps his head in the game I might enjoy the entire season this year.

& Harry I know what you mean about plenty of time to go wrong, Im born & raised in/around Dallas so I know the 'boys can toss a sure thing if they don't keep at it.

As a side note, last year the Corp. PR rep for Oakley stopped by the store I was working at in Dallas to pick up some misc. stuff for a handfull of Cowboy's players, kind of sweet to help pick out the O for some cowboys!!

Just heard on the news Trent Green will be starting for the Rams next week.... He isn't a horrible QB.

Green isn't that horrible, he had a great year in Washington before signing with the Rams first time round. The problem is that he's one concussion away from being Al Toon and he's playing behind one of the worst lines in football....

Holy shit... That might have very well been the single worst football game I've ever seen in my life. We should really just forfeit the season and get a new Coach.... and a new QB... and a new....

Why in the hell did they keep Huard in there???? Christ! Man this is gonna be a long season... WE SUCK!

Man my Colts are killing me! We so didn't deserve to win that game yesterday, but maybe that will carry over to next week and so on. It was the largest comeback in NFL history that far into a game. 21 points were scored in just over 2 minutes.

Well, I can't believe I didn't notice this thread. First I'd like to say...Can anyone show my team how to finish a game. They make me look bad. I start bragging & get excited. Then, 4th quarter hits & we lose. We lost our coach the guy who was bringing my team around(slowly). If davis doesn't like it, why doesn't he coach!!! Let's see what our new interim coach has to offer. He better not mess up what Lane has worked for. I wish everyone good luck..... except when going up against the Raiders.
