Ive had 3 or 4 people call my store asking for the West Virginia University Flak Jackets. I ask for details and they say its blue frame, gold socks, and has the WVU logo on the side of the arm.
Has anyone heard anything about university editions of flak jackets?
I'd be surprised if Oakley is able to start another Collegiate program. I'd say it all depends on the Apparel contracts that the schools sign with Nike, and whether eyewear is or isn't considered apparel or equipment.
Penn State used to let the football players wear Oakley visors in the helmets while wearing Nike jerseys, pants, and shoes. But for the past two seasons, all the players have been wearing Nike visors.
If a collegiate line of Flaks were to come out at some point, that would be absolutely amazing - as long as they include a Rutgers University edition this time around...well even if they don't include Rutgers, it would still be pretty cool.
all the nike visors are made by nike and they are junk. They have larger tabs and you can tell the difference in the two with ease. Almost everyone that wears one in the nfl wears an oakley but leave it to the no fun league and there stupid rules that states that a player can't have a branded logo on them that is not reebok on any piece of clothing, that is why you see a sticker with the team name or a blacked out sharpie style oakley style. If you look at a nike visor in person, the optics in the wrap are soooo bad it is not even funny!
I heard about this too, but I think it may have been excitement over the new "team colors" available through OCP on the website. I never heard anything else about em, but I'd love to see FSU Flaks, they's go great with my FSU XX's!
