Hi,
I bought a Mag M-Frame some times ago and didn't noticed that the left earstem extremity is much higher than the right one.
Not really important until now as I didn't wear them, but I'd like to now.

Is that a current issue ? Should I send them back to consumer service (still under warranty) ? Should I just blame myself for not having tried them in the shop, and shut up ? o_O

I have the same thing on my Romeo Titanium/Gold but not as marked.
You can si it on that pic.

you should be able to twist them straight without hurting anything...

Buddy, every pair of my X-Metals are like that pretty much. I think I have an uneven head. I hate to admit it, but I'm not perfect.

Not a big deal in my opinion.

Thanks for the answers.

Well, I'll try to bend the earstem a little for the Romeo.
For the Mag M-Frame, the gap is really much more significant. I'll try to put some pics later.
Not sure a mag frame will bend too.

I wouldn't try to bend the stem....just twist the frame a bit...There is play in the flex coupler system, so you will have a degree of slop...

Well, I was afraid about twisting the frame of the mag, but I listened you. So I grabbed the frame with my strong hands and twisted it... and they broke ! Nooo, just kidding, that's perfect now. I didn't thought that this would work but it did.
Thank you very much guys.

Glad to hear that!

My Mag M frames are perfectly straight and even.

All Oakley Warranty will do is offer you a $75 credit towards the purchases of any x-metal shades :(

I'm glad you posted the thread ... and thank-you Josh for the suggestion of twisting not bending. I had sent a pair of Juliets to warranty (Canada) for a frame replacement and they had sent me back a frame that was higher on one side than the other. I tried bending the earstem but to no avail ... so I eventually had to send it back.

My other pair of Juliet has the same problem, but not as bad - maybe 3mm higher on one side than the other.

I will try Josh's twisting method right away.

Thanks!!!

Wow, that's a shame ! Mag frames are nearly at the same price than a X-metal. 50$ is ridiculous
