Ok, I need a little direction. I'm buying a minute machine (gonna retire the time bomb, at least for a while). I know I'm gonna go with the black face as I wear black often and like the contrasting on the dial. I'm torn as to if I should get the rubber (unobtainium) band, or the standard, all Ti band. I've only ever seen the titanium band in person, but I think the rubber band is just as sweet in a different way. Anyone have any experience with both? None of the reviews were on the rubber version! Thanks for the words of wisdom!

While I don't have any personal experience with the rubber band - I just don't get why you would go with it over the Ti band. The tread design of the metal band is a piece of art in and of itself and perfectly compliments the casing. It's not uncommon that most folks make comments on the band and not even the face of the watch when I wear my tank. With the rubber band, it just strikes me that you are just buying the casing, and the band is just their to help keep the darn thing on your wrist without bringing any attention to it.

I'd have to agree with Paul: the band (all titanium) really makes this watch stand out. Remove - or, in this case, "replace" - the band with something else (such as the unobtainium band) and you've lost about 50% of the aesthetics of the watch.

Besides, the pure titanium band will probably last a lifetime - literally. Although unobtainium is durable, it would never withstand the test of time/use that the titanium band could handle.

I have both the leather and the titanium band and do wear the full titanium much more often.
