Just picked up the Hydrophobic Treatment kit from local o-store tonight. I was wondering if anyone else has already had a chance to apply the treatment and if you might have any initial thoughts or information to share.

The kit is packaged like the cleaning kit (case, cloth, spray) and comes with 3 individually packed "treatment a" pads. The spray is "treatment b" that is used for future re-treatments as necessary. Since instructions call for 'treatment a', I guess this limits the kit to 3 pairs of eyewear ... or maybe 6 if I can stretch them a bit to cover 2 pairs per pad.

Side note: o-store also had pink iridium pups on hand. Pink iridium was very cool and it took a mighty level of self control to not walk away with the lenses or a new pup.

I have used this kit. I like it. It is easy to apply and by following the directions you will not go wrong. I have thought about stretching the use of the pads and doing 2 pairs but think it is best to only do one pair per pad like instructions state. The pair I did it to seems to be working fine. No negative effect on the lenses at all.
One piece of advice.....do it in well ventilated area. It smells very strong for a while due to chemicals in application.

I purchased two kits last week, but haven't actually treated my lenses yet. I'm trying to decide which pairs I want to try it out on.

I'm guessing it is going to be easier to put the coating on if I take the lenses out of the frames? Can anyone tell me what size the screw driver is for juliets - I'm way to lazy to run through all of the juliet threads to find out for myself :)

It is a T-6. Be careful not to strip them when removing or replacing them.
It is WAAAY easier if you remove the lenses. Plus that way you get total coverage of treatment on the lens.
