I have been here for nearly a year and only know of a few fellow Canadian's.
Who in this forum is a Canuck?
I am kinda curious to see how many there are.
I love living in CANADA(Manitoba to be specific), but I gotta tell ya', it really sucks not having an O store or VAULT anywhere near me.

i am canadian and i love it. i live in calgary the home of the greatest out door show on earth. for all that dont know what that is it is the calgary stampede. to put it in perspective it is ten days long and it is an non stop party that is city wide and have 2 million people in attendance. i have traveled extensivly and there is nothing like it in the world. the city shuts down. there is limited work that gets done and you go all day and night. there is more beer sold at the stampedes ten day then there is in all of western canada all year and that is a fact. i also love the fact that i am so close to the rocky mountains. there is very little that i dont love about calgary and canada for that fact. anyway i know that there a few of us from canada in here i more from calgary another from edmonton and a few more that i cant think of.

as for the o stores and the vaults i am with you on that. there is one in vancover but that is to far for me and due to recent events in the "O" world it might be some time before we get one.

woody you have got to be the only person that LIKE living in winterpeg. LOL :-)

Quinton, I just checked the Oakley Canada website and there are no O-Stores or Vaults in Vancouver. I believe they are located in the east - Ontario and Quebec.

I was thinking the same. I have family on Vancouver Island and was just thinking that I could hit the vault there.....too bad there isn't one.
We really need a few vaults here in CANADA, one on the west coast and one in the prairies.
With our shortage of VAULTS, where do you guys find your stuff?
As of late(last 2-3 months) the few places that sell Oakley here have had a less than poor selection of stuff.
There are a couple of guys in here from the US that help me out with getting things. I am MORE than appreciative of their time and efforts to help me get things. I gotta thank you 2 guys again for all your help.(you know who you are)

I totally agree. Canada needs some more stores. I personally think, and not just because I live here, that Winnipeg deserves a Vault or O Store. I see people wearing O products everywhere. I see old ladies in vintage Blades, cyclists in M Frames, the whole 9 yards. I've seen more Juliets than expected(at least 50) in a city of this size, so I know the demand is here. Oakley apparel is evident at the beaches and on the street in summer and all over the city and slopes in the winter. We need something here!

And from what I've heard, a lot of other Canadian cities could care less. Well, Rick said that about Calgary.

i was told that the o stores and vaults are placed as per the population. as of last year calgary hit 1 million people and o few months ago i was in the oakley office in calgary and there was talk the we were getting one of the stores. but since the merger that might be a slow process.

There are three things that define Winnipeg; Slurpees from 7-11, mosquitoes and Oakley's. Like Jamie said, everywhere you look someone is wearing an Oakley product. Oakley would cleanup if they put an o-store or VAULT here.
OKAY, I lied, there are actually four things. The fourth is our miserably cold winters! LOL

Not sure this is right Quinton, as the Laval O-Store opened two months ago and our population is numbering at a few hundred thousands...plus, with such a big business, such decisions should be (and are) made based on carefully studied marketing research, don't you think ?

Patience Westerners, O-Stores are coming your way, just a matter of time. How much time ? :P

You can hate me for the tease it's ok.

even if they put up a temp store just for the stampede they would make a killing.

Thanks for the info. It's about time Vancouver got more love. And a Vault, too? Can't wait to see how it turns out.
