now with such thread-title, you might think, Hmm, this belongs in the OFF TOPIC section. you couldn't be further from the truth.

Little history lesson about me : i raced motocross bikes from the age of 6 until i ended my carreer with a mega crash , at the age of 27.
I started wearing oakleys after pierre karsmakers became importer and handed me the very first MX goggles oakley ever made, the 0/20 goggle. i raced with those until the newer models came along.

now a little jump into the present; Mom and dad moved to a new house a while ago, and they had to clean up the attick, and found my old motocross-gear, and more important

A BRAND NEW , NEVER WORN 0/20 GOGGLE 1985 IN THE BOX !!!!!!!!!!
I AM SO EXCITED THAT MY MOM CANNOT THROW THINGS AWAY !!!!!

i took it out of the box, the foam is crumbling and just plain vaporizing, and it will never go out of it's box again, but i had to take pics for the REVIEW !

enjoy ( i did ! )

the tearoff clips came standard, the strap ajuster is aluminium, it had one large foamflap to absorb sweat, and it was 2-colored, i had more frame/strap options back than, and i think i didn't like yellow that much, driving honda's for 90% of my MX life ( honda=red )

me happy as a puppy

Damn, that foam really was evaporating.

I bet when you were opening them up, you felt like someone opening up an egyptian tomb for the first time in centuries.

Nice find Indiana Jones.

thank you very much , and indeed, opening it was sort of like opening oakley history.

i was surprised however about the foam, i didn't think that it would crumble that bad, and the boxvisor ( don't know any other word for it ) was my biggest worry, i was afraid that it came off off the red carton box. which luckily didn't happen.

Nice, I'd just leave them in the carton. The box is worth displaying by itself and you can see the goggles through the window anyway.

sweet! maybe the foam just got too dry, maybe wearing goggles gets em full of grease and sweat which kinda preserves them in a way, but of course makes them smell like feet...

nice find dude, i found some old stuff when i moved out, gives you a good feeling when things pop back into your mind like you were there...

Wow Fred That is unbelievable! Seeing that kind of box is a first for me. It's funny but I was going to start a thread (or add to one) like this for a similar reason. I told my mom early on that if she ever sees any Oakley stuff at garage sales or thrift stores or whatever, to let me know. She went to a garage sale & found some stuff but she doesn't have a cell phone so she called me from their phone to let me know but since I didn't recognize the number I didn't bother calling back. She called me later & told me they had some stuff & she bought a few Oakley things. 2 pairs of glasses & a "repair Kit" So I'm immediately thinking fake stuff & here's what she got;

Yuck! She paid $7 but she doesn't know... but then;

Some sweet Carbon Fiber/ +Red M Frames in great condition! Only $3.00!!!! Plus the repair kit turned out to be a Crystal Black Blade Earstem Kit Triggers cracked, Standards Perfect & a nosepiece where the pick was.(Anyone need some?) So, Yes. I love my Mom too. I'll have to do something extra special for Mother's Day
