Well, I just recieved my Chop top 6.0 back from Oakley getting Rx lenses in them. Wow, I love them, very very nice! I do have a question. When the Opt. asked if I wanted anti-reflective coating for additional $ I declined since I was already going over budget on my eye glasses, however when I recieved them back, both sides of the lense have almost a very light emerald iridium-like coating on them. Do the non anti-reflect coating lenses have these, or did I mistakenly get anti-reflect lenses free?

An anti reflex coating may have emerald like reflection, when looked at the lens at a certain angle. My guess is, you got a little extra...

That's what I thought! it does have an emerald coating when viewed from different angles....definately not like the plain clear lenses at the opt. office....sweet! Freebie from the Oakley gods! lol...

it's really the antireflecting coating, but it can have many colors, i talked with my opd about that. I have greenish antireflecting coating, but there also be gold and pinkish and many others. congrats ;)

When I got my Chop Top 2.0s prescriptioned at Oakley, I never did ask for AR coating, but I believe they gave it to me anyways. I too see the faint green shimmer at certain angles. Thank god they gave it to me though, up to this point I had never experienced a pair of RX glasses without AR coating, and I recently bought a pair of Half Jacket clear lenses without AR coating to use with contacts. The difference is HUGE. I think your eyes would notice it immediately if you didn't have AR coating.

As far as i know the AR coating comes on all of their RX lenses standard. Out of the 2 Oakley RX glasses i've gotten they both have had it and I never asked for the coating. Most other people i talk to said the same thing.

My opt. claimed it would be an additional $60 to get AR from Oakley, maybe he was mistaken....anyhow, I'm very happy with them!

Or trying to get money from you for something he new would already be included?
Wouldn't be the first time I'd heard of something like that.

Incorrect. All lenses are without an AR coating - and virtually don't need one, except Clear or perhaps Persimmon - but it is an option. You can also choose from Clear AND Clear AR.

Sob, I would they also put it on my grey transitions RX..
lot of ghosting when I use it indoor.
However there's an RX grey polarized that comes with AR coating, but it's on the backside of the lens. I got it in my gascan

Back and frontside AR coating is optional with RX orders...
