Honestly, I've been to busy to contribute actively. Between grad school and work, I don't really have time to check all the time like I used to. And then, since I check maybe 2 times a week, I end up having to wade through threads that have 3 extra pages nothing new...

Talk to him 3 days ago, looks less and less likely, but he still goes on the chat sometimes.

I don't know it all with Rick, and never really got a major chance to get to know him, but it was a series of unfortunate events that seemed to come to a head at once. I admire his collection and vast knowledge for Oakley, but a really rediculous verbal dispute started in the "Kramer" thread about that comedian that went off on that biggot rage is what seemed to have sealed the deal. It was really sad that it all went down that way. Rick is a well respected member here, although no longer actively participating or posting, still a member. Recently, another member pointed out Rick's site, which is visual and informational, and it showcases his love and passion for the finest eyewear and accessories out there! His site is great, his collecting still going strong, and he is around.

It is a forum, and though small, still a forum. It only takes one or two to screw it up good for the others. That is a prime example of why we ALL need to respect each other here and remember opinions shouldn't turn into the loss of a member, and really aren't something to turn into a personal vendetta to attack one at any given chance! We all have different opinions, preferences, and favorites. That is what makes this place so unique! One key note to remember here is that the Mods, Hosts, and Founders really work hard at keeping it peaceful and cordial. They deserve the utmost in respect from all of us! Without their efforts, there wouldn't be a great place like this for all of us O Junkies to hang out and communicate. You don't see any banner ads, pop ups, or sponsored BS, so they fund this all on their own! Mad props to all involved.

Appreciate the kind words. It's been an easier job lately since the core group we have now seems to be level headed, so there's really no need to police the forum like before. So with a lower amount of overall activity, we at least have pretty much avoided needless trouble. It's nice to just come here and read posts than try to settle some argument.

I'm always open to suggestions for the site too. The lens cutting article was a nice additions, and if more people would step up to the plate, we could have a lot more content aside from just chatting all day.

Glad to help. No reason anyone who is interested in trying it shouldn't at least have a resource of info to help in their cause...Thanks for all the work in putting it up and making it right for the site! The PDF is nice, and the touches you added to the other version are cool!

Dr. Chop, thanks for the info & couldn't agree more with your comments. I also was offended many times at this site, but I guess that's expected as some view sellers as an enemy than a friend. Off to check out the tutorial. :o)

it's all good David. Some out here in O*R land are way too quick to judge and really have internal issues they are hiding by picking on others...I like the stuff you are producing. Some really cool colors...
