I would seriously love to get those. I just really cannot justify a Frogskin for over $100. Maybe if it were $110...but for $160...

If I see one in person and really like it and it looks really good on me, I might consider the Violet one.

Ok I admit I thought they would be naff and an insult to the original but awwwwwww... I want some now! I love the paint job on the white city pair and the brushed logo really sets it off nicely. If someone has a spare pair they want rid of, well... ;)

Very impressive journey for a great purchase! While I'm sure the Frogskin would look absolutely ridiculous on me, there is no denying that city-frame is amazingly cool.

FYI: the red frame shown earlier in ths thread comes with a red iridium lens!! The picture in this thread and on the web are not accurate for what ever reason, there are already some on the secondary market and there is a pair of red and they have RED lens!

The ones in NYC on display had a grey lens for sure and no iridium coating. These are apparently from Cali. Two versions? Very odd indeed.

Same story in LA like NYC...but without the bad weather. I got there, and the line was literally down the block. Stood in line for about an hour, then had to leave. Luckily, some friends of mine were also there, and they picked up a pair of the print ones for me. Unlike NYC, they were only allowing 1 pair per person. =(

FYI-Avg secondary price of these is now $250-350 and they seem to be moving pretty good...Not sure if its the supreme collectors or whackos like us...

Wow. I thought these were pretty cool looking, but the ebay markup is out of control. Honestly, scalpers are getting faster and faster and turning the big bucks on these rare pieces.

Wow, now you have me all confused. Im almost certain the pair I saw didnt have an iridium coating but I didnt ask them to pull it out of the display or one from the back.

It was listed as grey here, looked grey in the display case so I just took it as that but now I wonder what I actually saw.

east vs. west

I listed them as Grey since that's what the photoshop image looked like, but Crystal Red/+Red was a vintage colorway, so I'm sure they may have just chosen the wrong picture.
