Hi David, this is the original size of 204 x 50.

Anyway Bok is right, this is like a small gathering for the members to do some design to help other member. I have to say that David did help alot of us on customizing lens too. Yes, I am 1 of the proud owners of the Ghost Red lens.

Right on bok! This is awesome!!! It's hard to beat o-review for having fun and helping each other (and disposing time). I still can't believe all the cuts Dr. Chop made for fellow o-reviewer's. I know how hard it is to cut the lenses with a dramel. Also, thank you so much for the designers. I should have a section in our website that displays all these logos.

Phil's logo is up on the site now, and gettin' good reviews. Erik's will be up when I go to bed tonight.

right, heres my two cents, sorry these are so late but I've been really busy with that inconvenience known as "work", curse them getting in the way of my time here, anyway, here we go and don't worry I can resize these to any dimensions at all:

I really like what I did with the X with the one above, I shaped it and added rivets to make it look like the x-metal nosebridge, just a subtle nod to the x-metal design ethos

I know you asked it to be in caps, but I found the lowercase ".com" works really well with this one, but I can change that in a minute if you really want it all in caps

the one above and the one below are inspired by the stuff others did but with just a few little twists, the one below incorporates "O" with "X" with different colours to emphasise the X with metal accents for the rest of the "chain" (cos I like the design of the rx chain so I thought I'd put a reference to it in this)

...and the one above is like a stamped sheet metal effect

oh and as an added little treat...
http://www.geocities.com/weaponlord/customxmetal.swf :-)

(and I can even make screensaver or an animated gif out of it if you like so you could advertise it as a downloadable wallpaper for mobile phones or whatever, come to think of it I could do that with any of the graphics I've made here).

Fair play to everyone, everyones come up with visual ideas I really like, I guess its a testament to everyone on here how much all of us like to contribute to help, thats what makes this forum so cool

Awesome!!! 3rd one is on the site now. My friend Ray was going to design one. Where are u Ray?

Also, Phil's 1st is on our eBay store now. Does anyone know whether we can have a .com logo on our eBay store? I didn't find any policy against it, but I don't want any problems with eBay.

after checking the colour scheme and general design I decided to alter that design to correspond with the rest of the design, it looks like this now

Nice designs... I really like Phil's and Dorians last one, I think that one would match the design of the webside pretty good!

It's on the site now. It's custom alright~ Gettin' close to the deadline.

BTW, if you have purchased before, please do a review on the lens. More will be available by Tuesday, and you don't have to review the exact lens, but as long as the lens color is the same. I really appreciate all the support.

Also, if you are outside the US, if you could test out the currency & shipping rates, that would be great. For the launch (maybe May & June), we'll have free shipping to US & no handling fee for international, so shipping rates will be $2-3 lower than what they show now. Recent USPS rate hikes are NOT helping at all... :( You would think they would have international tracking or at least delivery confirmation at that price, but so far not so good.

David,

I tried to 'buy' the testproduct.

A couple of little things I noticed;

- When changing the quantity of a product, the button 'update' is on the left while the quantity is almost far right. I had to look for an updatefunction, it's not a 'logical' location now. I'd expect the 'checkout' button where it is right now, the 'update' I'd expect a little left of checkout and the 'continue shopping' far left. Or all three of the buttons grouped to the right if you wnat the 'continue shopping' button to stand out as well. (as I'd expect, you would like us to continue wouldn't you;-)

- I 'ordered' 15 pcs of the testproduct and got the message 'sold out'. There's also a message "Products marked with SOLD OUT dont exist in desired quantity in our stock.
You can buy them anyway and check the quantity we have in stock for immediate deliver in the checkout process". That seems perfect and customer friendly. But I never got to see what quantity there's in stock. Just a confirmation of my order... but that's not possible 'cause you're sold out. As a real custmer I'd be confused by now.

- In the confirmationscreen is a message that the product will arrive within 2-5 working days. Isn't that a bit opportune for international shipping?

- I cannot select any payment method during the checkout. Is that perhaps for testing purposes? Or is it a bug?

- On your shipping and return info page I find UK, Germany and France in zone 2. Perhaps an idea to add something like 'for example' to that sentence? Now it looks just like you can order from Germany and not from the Netherlands.

- The currency calculator seems to be working fine. Great compliment on that one. Very friendly!!

- E-mail confirmation of an order is very fast.

This seems to be a lot of comment, but nothing is intended to be negative !! Just trying to describe what I experience while using your site. My intentions are to help make things better. And overall it is a nice and clear site. Looks good!!

(I can't help it, it's my job to look at software and websites like this and give my comment. In my free time I'm still doing it, can't shake it off... sorry :-)

We have a new face!!! After all the votes were counted, we have a winner of the logo contest! It's Phil's 1st one:

We had so many that were great, and it was a very difficult to choose. Everyone (almost everyone, Ray didn't make the deadline, hehe) who entered deserved to win. :o)

Thank you so very much!!! I should do another for our golf related website later, but I'm sure that won't generate nearly as much interest, as we're so passionate about Oakleys.

Congratulations Phil!!! I'll PM you regarding the prize.

Yeah, it's over, but those are pretty nice...

Hans, thanks so much for the detailed testing of the website. You pointed out all the important stuff. Some, I won't be able to change, but most will be fixed by tomorrow in time for the launch.

Non-US folks, I'll need to decide which countries to add for Priority Mail, so those who purchased from the US and received via Global Priority Mail (outside of those already on the list), please let me know how your experience has been, in terms of reliability and transit time. I'm very cautious about this, since there is no tracking.

Nice one Phil! If I had to choose it would have been a close run thing between yours and luiz's, a well deserved set of lenses on their way to you, on a really cool note its awesome to see so many different approaches to this plus its kept us entertained :-)

In the immortal words of Homer Simpson on the rare occassion he does something right, "Woo Hoo!" Thanks everyone. I had hit a slump lately and though these logos were done fast it was a nice break to pull me away from all that I have been doing and get me into a different mind set.
