Over the weekend, Georges St. Pierre (a Canadian) beat Matt Hughes for the UFC Welterweight title. It was a long time coming. GSP is one of the classiest, most exciting fighters in the UFC, so congrats to him. Here's the highlight reel. Hope it doesn't get pulled too soon.

damn, George had his game face on...You could tell this was his night with his entrance. Thumbs up man, sux to see Matt go down, but who better to drop to than GSP...Now let's see Serra get desecrated because he is not even close to the same caliber as GSP

Just watched the fight, great stuff, will go see the rematch if its in Montreal like Georges St-Pierre wants.

Not a bad idea, seeing GSP in Montreal. I think they plan to hold the rubber match in late January or February. It probably won't happen as they've been having problems bring the UFC into Canada, but we can hope.

Matt Hughes looked nowhere near prepared for this fight, almost as if he was taking it like a joke. I've never seen him fight as bad as he did that night. Respect to st. pierre for beating the best, even though he DID kick hughes in the nuts not once, but twice. I do expect a rematch VERY soon.
