Is it just the new design of towers, or is it a SIGNATURE SERIES cabinet like you call it ? Cuz as far as I'm concerned, Ruby Juliet is definitely not Signature Series...unless Ruby is some famous athlete and it has his/her signature laser-etched in the lens...

Maybe, if you keep your eyes open and get close to the owner of the store...

The freight company that delivers the new towers will be doing a swap for the old one. Same as when they updated from the Gen 1 towers. But you may get lucky.

not too be rude but you guys are very missinformed about the new displays, this particular display is one of 700 in the world we got the first one on the east coast and the freight company is not takin back the old towers, oakley is takin back the cases themselves at a later date so dont think all the shop owners will be selling there cases anythime soon, not like there allowed to anyway

I stopped by VUTT tonite to get a looksie at the new display. They stink. The look is nice, but they are enitrely too large at the base. It has the shelf size of a double wide but the base is about as large as a triple wide. Takes up way too much space. Glass shelves. Overall very nice clean look, but the dimensions of the display really suck, especially if you have a lot of displays in a store, makes it rather difficult to find space for certain ones.

Much better picture was posted yesterday at:

http://sunglass-superstore.com/blog

The cases were distributed by FedEx Freight, and they are NOT taking back the old cases as stated above.

The Reps will be gather the cases, placing the old cases in accounts that need the towers, but are not significant enough to get the new towers. Old cases that are damaged or need repair are to be destroyed.

Oakley still retains ownership of all their cases, they are NOT owned by the stores. Thus, they couldnt (legally) sell them anyway.

Maybe the whole point of the feet is to take up space. That is, to stop other things in a store from crowding up against the Oakley display.
