Gascan was voted Best Mens Glasses in 2005. This means that most of us like Gascans...

If we would build a MD, we would be able te choose a lot more combo's. Maybe a 10w40 or White Camo... Those are already in the OCE. So a lot of possibilities. Plus there are only a few people who dislike the MD.

PLus, there are 320 Monsterdogs owned by O-reviewers against 199 Gascans and 152 Fives (including 1, 2, 3 and XS)
The Monster Dog is pretty much the favorite...

True that brotha! It all comes down to getting something that looks good and unique with the lenses and frame options we have available. I'm not a huge Gascan lover either, but that Rust/Fire one looks damn sexy.

How do you know this?
How many Juliets?
I`m also crazy about the Rust/Fire Gascans.

10w40 isn't an OCE option.

I can't wear the Gascans because they're too damn big and look retarded (edit: on my face- if you've got the right head, the Gascans can look terrific). I said a long time ago that I'd never buy a pair I wouldn't wear, for the same reason that I'd never buy a car just to own it.

I don't have anything against those of you who do (not to mention I'm stunned by the dedication some of you have to collect everything in sight) but it's just not my way.

Like I mentioned in the "other collections" thread, the only other thing I collect is beer bottle caps and I painstakingly drank each and every one of the 6,000something beers from which my bottle caps came...

Don't act like you didn't enjoy drinking those beers man, haha.

BTW, are we back to square one? What have you heard from O? Im confused.

I know, not everyone would be able to wear whatever we pick no matter ho hard we try. Fives may be too small, MDs too big, Gascan walks the line for many. I'll really need to see the final product on a GC before I can committ as easy as I did to a Five. Myself, I want to be able to wear this.

I found out by searching in other peoples collections. When you go to "your collection" and scroll downwards you can enter a search. Then you fill in "Gascan", "Five" or "Monster Dog". This way you can see what everybody on the O-review has in his collection that includes your search criteria...
Tadaaa....

You wanted it for Juliets:

Why we vote for GC? there was a election for fives 3.0 and not for GC. It doesn't matter to me, I have 2 1/2 GC and they fit, but the other members, like kingphilbert,... they would get problems.

Sorry didn't read the posts before to know why GC is actual

Here's a crazy thought.

Would it be possible to get a custom combination of one of the X Metals with the lens etching? I know it would jack the price up but there's a lot of us who would pay for it especially if it was something really cool or unique. Oakley might even be more willing to play ball at the higher price point too.

An x-metal would be cool. I would be really surprised if Oakley would do that. I think I would be even more surprised if we could get enough people for the head count.

Anyways, I agree with King Philbert about being able to wear these. I'm able to wear my whole collection and if it doesn't fit on my head I don't buy it.

I'm with both of you guys on buying only what you can wear. That's why I even brought up the X-Metal idea. I think it might be worth a shot to ask if they would even consider putting together a custom combo for us out of currently available options.

I don't think we could get 75 O-reviewers to buy a custom pair of X-metals. Though I would be interested! What kind were you thinking of? Penny is already out, so it's Juliet, XX or Romeo 2.0....

Id buy 2 x metals if thats the case so all we need so far would be 73 more ;)

It seems the point of this thread is going in reverse. There's more doubt than when it first started. It's turning into the OR custom pair thread, and we all know how that ended.

Yeah it is, but more becasue of the rejection by Oakley than you guys. There arent many unique options left for us.

Sep 12, 2006 6:44 AM
Lets figure this out.... Do you want VUTT on the lens or O-Review custom font. If you want I can order 75 program glasses with O-Review 2006 or anything on the lens jusrt get the owner of the site to write a letter authorizing VUTT to order 75 custom glasses and I will ship them out to 75 MEMBERS with a criteria that you have been a member for 6 months starting today. I can make a new frame every year as long as the program is in effect. As flattering as it would be to have VUTT on the glass I want you members to have what you want. So getter done.
