I'VE HAD IT!

I'm beyond pissed off now. I ordered a belt and 2 shirts from Oakley on the 4th of August. I paid well over 120 bucks for them too, which is ridiculous in itself.

Anyways, I paid 10 bucks for USPS priority shipping. I got an e-mail from Oakley saying "Your item was shipping, Friday, August 4th at 11:43 AM.

It's the 16th, and my mail has already come. I couldve ####ing walked to HQ by now and picked up my stuff.

Oakley, hire someone who knows MIS's, listen to them, and then maybe you can start getting your shit together before you go under.

Oh, and also, this isn't my only complaint about them.

It is completely unacceptable for a company to take 5 weeks to process an exchange or return.

Jim: Your self-proclaimed growing pains within the company have turned into horrible inadequacies...something needs to be addressed.

Watch with returns. Make sure they always have a tracking number on them as Oakley uses said agencies tracking number as their internal reference number when it arrives back with them. I returned a pair of glasses and waited over a month for the cedit. I finally called and they needed the number from me to reference the return and locate it to se the problem. I forget the problem though. Something with accounting and my CC#.

As far as your shipping problem goes, were you provided with a tracking number for the USPS package? I can;t see the hold being with O if it's already left their facilities.

once, I had a warranty pair sent to the wrong city. they reversed two numbers in the zip code, and took an extra 2 weeks to come around.

I checked the X metal section and everyday like clockwork, the backorder is pushed back. I like to buy only when it states that they'll ship in 24 hrs. The chance for screwups will be infinitely reduced.

The worst part of it all is that my two cheapest options were 9.44 or 25.49 for 2nd day air...which wouldnt have come for a few days since it was a friday...and 25 bucks is more than one of the shirts I bought.

That really sucks. I returned a pair of Juliets to them and it took them a month to give me my credit. I had to call them and provide them with a tracking number to prove that they recieved it. I've never had a problem though with an order.

I find it worth it to just pay the 2 day air UPS price. I know -24 dollars for 3 items of apparel is a lot(glasses are cheaper for shipping)...but I just like the peace of mind of having them in 2 days(or more if u order on a Thurs or Fri) and being able to track them at every stop along the way..again Money is tight , I know-its why I am trying to blow out 7 pairs of brand new glasses at better than Ebay prices- to pay off my CC but- for the $ ...the 2 day option has never failed me yet...

same with me when i returned a pair of Asian Fit Half Jackets. even though i sent it Priority with delivery confirmation via USPS the delivery didn't register until tweo weeks later, and then another three weeks for them to credit my credit card.

however, whenever i order from HQ i always skip the website and use phone sales, i find it easier to talk to an actual person.

I doubt they'll give you a discount if you complain. They'll probably offer you the free shipping that can be used when you spend $50 or more.

Here's a little update:

Today is 6:41 PM, August 24th!

20 days later, the mail has already come, and guess what? Still no package.

I called in and they said they don't know what the problem is, but all they can do is give me my shipping back, which they claim to already have done.

The refunded money still isnt in my bank.

Is this how Oakley treats its loyal customers? I've given them thousands of dollars, and they can't even give me a packgae I ordered.

I know there was free shipping, but I paid the 10 to get it to me faster. I could care less about the refunded 10 bucks, its complete bullshit that I don't have my things yet, and they aren't even trying to remedy the situation other than saying "it seems to be taking longer than we thought"

I'm sure they've heard of the 80/20 rule where 80% of their business most likely comes from 20% of their customers...yet I'm one of the die-hard fans that give them even more than the loyal...and I get screwed with no compensation.

Maybe Oakley isn't what I thought it was.

Yet another update.

Packagestill not here so I call back and they say they're re-sending what I ordered. I'm happy-ish that I'll finally get my stuff.

I get a call back 15 minutes later, and they're out of one of the shirts I wanted in the color I want. I go from blue to black...not a HUGE deal...

THEN, the entire reason I've been waiting to make an order with Oakley is blown to hell. They were out of the cement Steel belt...entirely in cement. BULLSHIT!

Oakley fails...bad.

Last week, I sent out to have another of my f'n Mag Switch's warrantied into a 24K XX. I called today to check the progress: CS said they'd received the package and were in the process of "putting together" my new pair. Said it would be sent shortly.

Wow, I've never had any problems with shipping and Oakley Canada. They always get warranty/returns back to me in record time. Normal shipments take usually a week or so. The longest I've waited was 7 business days.

I have never had a huge problem with getting Oakley items shipped to me.

They have even told me it can take up to 8 weeks to credit a credit card account.

I agree Jamey, from my experience with Oakley Canada,I sent in my pair of glasses to have the frame replaced, and it came back in 2 days! Maybe because we are a smaller market than the US?
