what is OAKLEY ICON CLAW original designed for? it have writen"warning:remove before flight" on one side of the lanyard. is it really a keychain?

My understanding is that it was for mountain climbing...although I'd check with Ollie before I tried one on a cliff....

Its not for mountain climbing, its even written on the metal ring. I use mine as a keychain from time to time, people are always intrigued by it.

I thought that they had a 80 lb load capacity (I'm guessing that is a staitic not dynamic load).
Can anyone else back me up on that?
If so it could be used for something even it its use is closer to holding a medium size pouch in a tree or something

If I remember it says 20or 30 lbs maximum, its not something practical.

No way, it is not for paratrooping. It's just for fun, made like a climbing camelot.

It's just one of those things like the Medusa and Flight deck, that serves no purpose but you have to have. Least this one's a little cheaper and easier to find.
