Speedvision just reported that Montoyo will driver Nextel cup( NASCAR) exclusivley next year for Chip Ganassi Racing. He will drive the #42 car. Might be a better "in" for Oakley in NASCAR.

It was reported that he would drive exclusivley for NASCAR in 2007. I guess he is done with F1 until 2008.

He's fed up with F1....



viewership is down, and there is no overtaking....

There are no seats avaliable with the top teams, so he's decided to go back to nascar...

JPM has never raced in Nascar before, but he has test drived Jeff Gordon's car once. I think JPM is way too reckless to be driving in Nascar. He'll get somebody kill if he contiunte to drive recklessly in Nascar.

He will be going around in a damn circle in the same car everyone else is for 4 hrs....the only way he'll be more dangerous is if he dozes off during the race....

The skill required and compared between the 2 is like gocarts and NHRA.... He'll do fine.
