Going back to third parties for a bit, the MX-I Apollyon is what MP Megatron should've been (even though it is an awesome figure in it's own right, skinny legs and all):

3rd parties are making some awesome stuff right now. With the older 3rd parties trying to maintain their rep among the new competition, and the new 3rd parties trying to start out strong to make a name for themselves, the product for us is awesome toys. The 3rd party toys are not cheap though, that's the only thing, but they can be awesome adds to the collection.

I cannot take a picture that captures the awesome of this shelf in person, but MP-21 Bumblebee is in and another shelf is complete. MP-05G is on the way as well as others. I need a new case and I may already be close to filling it when I get it, haha. So much cool stuff out, one day I will get back to showing off Oakley on this forum, haha, I'm not part of a TF forum believe it or not.

About time we got another pic! Lovely display. BB does look great. Smaller than I thought he'd be still great detail on him. I'll definitely pick one up one day. Congrats!

P.S. Looking forward to how you display MP Ultra Magnus when you get him in.

My last TF purchase for 2014 is my favourite, since it's a holy grail! An animation cel used in the production of the "Call of the Primitives" episode from season 3 (albeit with non-matching background):

And here it is (or as close to it I can get) on the TV screen as I play the DVD:

I'll need some time before I can show off Ultra Magnus. I will get him when he comes out, but I have no idea how I will fill out the rest of that shelf. I'll have to see what the 2015 masterpiece offerings will be to figure that out. Would be great to get an official Blaster MP to put next to him, although there's a few 3rd party versions coming out, one of which looks masterpiece-like.

Great pickup on that cel Oak, a grail indeed! You got to get a nice display for that.

With Megatron's gold version, you just knew there would be a BB gold version as well:

Here's hoping for an eventual official "Goldbug".

I do have Megatron's gold version, but not sure if I'll get this G2 Bumblebee yet. I kept Megatron in the box, so I wish they would have called it Gold Ver. Bumblebee instead of G2, the boxes would have gone better side by side for me. It does look cool, and the jetpack accessory is a nice touch, ahhh, why does Takara do this to me, haha.

It was an expensive toy December for me, with the most expensive and the biggest headache being the beast below (also super gratifying at the end). It's my first experience with MMC and second 3rd party company I have bought from other than Fansproject. The engineering is awesome, the mold design is also awesome, the materials feel very durable, with very good weight to this thing. The paint app finish is a tiny bit lacking on small parts as I had to ask MMC for replacements on some of the weapons (which combine into the big sword). That was a pain to wait for the replacements, but at least I got them.

Headache #2 was that once I saw some reviews I had to have all the cool gold chrome and sticker accents, and man that was frustrating with my OCD, haha. I had to re-order the label sets a couple times until I finally got them all the way I wanted, haha. The wings were chrome plated direct replacements, so that was an easy mod at least.

I don't know if I can ever spend this much on a Transformer again, with each team member not being cheap, and the mods adding up as well, but I'm definitely glad I made it to the end with this one. He is a beast! The King! Now get to cool down from Transformers for a bit, so it's time to work on some Oakley stuff soon. Don't mind my penny bottle to the left, haha.

Just discovered the new Transformers MP Year of the Goat edition:

Not sure I'm liking the clear plastic, but at least it's something different.

It's a cool variant, but I hope they stop milking Soundwave soon, so they can start milking a slightly modified Soundwave mold of Blaster.

Hasbro finally puts out a premium version of Devastator. The 17-18" Titan Class coming out in the fall for $150. Very cool but not as detailed as the third party stuff, though it is more than a third cheaper:

Saw that and very excited for it. While the 3rd party has some more detail, the bang for the buck is high for the Hasbro version. It's a nice looking figure, plus taller than the 3rd party versions, and reasonably priced. Will be a big seller for sure. I'm sure there will be 3rd party part upgrades for it down the line too.

Very cool! I'm still bummed I didn't get a Metroplex - speaking of large Transformers.

TRU Australia gets MP Ulta Magnus. Is it too much to ask the NA counterparts to get the same? Oh well.

Finally got to put away my SDCC toy take for 2015. Of course Devastator with chrome accents was a must. Also picked up the super deformed metallic Voltron, looks real nice behind my "King Of Beast" lion set. Really happy with both pickups. Devastator is a big boy, really cool to see in person.
