Yep, getting expensive by the year. Super cool stuff though, so I'm not complaining. I wouldn't be surprised if Tomy Takara goes crazy one day and introduces an "Ultra Masterpiece" lineup with $2k figures made up carbon fiber, titanium, etc. parts.
There's so much on the list! The end of the year Masterpiece run is about to begin, Wheeljack then Bumblebee then Ultra Magnus all must have for me. I'm really liking the 2014 SDCC Hasbro Sunstorm MP, beats the Takara by far in my opinion (which doesn't happen often), I might pick that up. Then there's leader class Jetfire in about a month. Also looking at a 3rd party Predaking that's about to complete release soon. Too much, and so little $$ to go around, haha.
Sounds expensive. Good luck on the upcoming purchases. A great list of stuff.
I picked up the Hasbro Sunstorm MP last week, and it is very cool. The horizontal stabilizer keeps popping off when transforming (which drives me crazy), but it does look very nice displayed.
I somehow forgot this was in my garage. G1 Skywarp Commemorative Series IV Classic Re-Issue from 2002. Not super rare or anything, but still cool none the less. It'd be nice out and posed.
Sunstorm's in robot mode. He actually isn't that bad to transform. Same as Star Sream and Acid Storm, of course. Pretty intuitive, but parts keep popping off (mostly the Stabalizer, but the right wing pops off on occasion as well.....and the fingers.....can't move the figures on the left hand without them popping off, probably due to poor QC).
I got ya, thanks for the info. I may wait for the TRU run later this year, maybe some of those kinks will be worked out. I may get itchy before then though, haha. They definitely did an awesome job with the paint app details.
