So I got my Ducati Juliets I won on ebay in the mail today. And they aren't Carbon, they're X-Metal. They also didn't come with the box. ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!! I'm trying to collect all of the Juliet frame colors and this seriously pissed me off. I sent the guy a nasty e-mail but we'll see what happens. With the Carbon, all I would need is the Brown. Does anyone want to trade their Carbon Ducati with a new condition X-Metal one? It has a serial number if that matters. Just no box.

X-metal is the more rare of the two. I am sure you will not have a problem trading down. Most people would be happy, but I completely understand.

Sorry to hear that.. Maybe u didnt read the listing properly? That kinda sale deserves a -ve feedback if his listing is different from what u've been given... Aren't u gonna try asking for a refund? Best of luck!

EDIT: If the serial # starts with 'X' then I'm interested!! =)

We settled out of eBay so I can't give any -feedback. The serial# is DUCATI006857. They are in new condition but no box. I posted a classified ad so just PM me if you're interested. I didn't mean to bring this on the main stage, but I needed to vent.

Yes, Ducatis used to come in X metal, but not anymore. These are really rare. I don't know how much was paid but even without a box, it is actually a good deal if it is brand new and cost the average of any Ducatis carbon sold on ebay.

I paid $225 shipped (a little below average). I'd even take that right now and just go buy another pair.

Nah, I collect for me not for net worth of my collection. and I already have an X-metal frame. Wait.....thinking....thinking (this hurts). I could trade my other X-metal frame for a Carbon one.

The other solution is if your other x-metal colored juliets doesn't have a serial, you can sell that pair in order to get a carbon one.

I am just suggesting based purely on my understanding that you just wanted to have all the colors.

I see alot more of the Carbon Ichiros and Rubies than the Xmetal Ducati.Thats definitely a keeper.

sorry. I was already typing my suggestion when your post was submitted. Didn't mean to be an echo. If you can get the box from the seller, all the better. If not, cut him some slack still.

Yeah I know, we can't all be experts in Oakley knowledge. I was just excited to be that much closer to my goal and finally put these +Red lenses I cut into a frame.

definitely keep the ducati xmetal. been looking for that before for an xmetal colored juliet in my little collection, that's before i given up and settle for a normal 'J#' serial pair long time ago. lolz.

would've trade you a carbon but my only carbon pair is the finito. haha

so, i assume now the title should be 'sooo surprised' instead of 'soo pissed' Zev? :)

Yeah true that, and actually, it's pretty set that I am trading them for a pair of Finitos and the night camo monsterdogs I have in the classifieds so there :P a negative becomes a positive.

Uh, X Metal Ducatis aren't 'rare' per se, its just that they're older than the Carbon Ducati.

It comes down to preference I reckon, if you wanted a Carbon frame get yerself a Carbon frame. In 10 - 20 years or whatever, maybe even 5, both Carbon and X Metal Ducatis will be unavailable/discontinued.

Or heck, buy both! I dunno.

ooh, Zev? u traded for a finito? that's great! welcome to the club man, it's not as rare as the ichiro, but i promise you'll gonna love the finito!

the lens are perfect for lower light condition when other lenses are too dark, if you don't like it at first, trust me, it's gonna grow on you and you'll love it!

i'm still waiting for a pair of G30 juliet lens to try them out. anyone wanna donate? j/k lolz.
