I need help. And no this is not a petition =P

Besides eBay and sending the frame to HQ to get ruby lenses, is there a way to just order and purchase them from an OPD or optical shop?

If this is possible would you happen to know an OPD or shop in California who does this?

2 options come to mind:

1. Call Oakley warranty service and try to sweet-talk your way into just purchasing the ruby lens kit, saying you are experienced in switching out your own lenses.

2. Get friendly with an o-store employee and get them to order you a pair throught their contact at O-HQ.

I really can't afford a new frame. And retail here in Manila, would you believe, costs 250 - 260 USD for just the lens.

thats insane you would be better off grabbing a deal off ebay....seeing there are a couple of sellers who frequently lists them....

I can't do ebay. I live in a far away place that paypal is non-existent, and shipping would be very very very risky.

i am sure there would be some ebay sellers who would be willing to accept money orders.....but like you said since postage in Manila is rather risky even if you go for those established American courier companies it would still cost pretty significantly....adding up the total cost...seems like you do not have much of a choice but to get from your loacal dealers...:(

Well i called Oakley warranty and tried if they could just sell me a spare Juliet ruby.The gal I talked to are very persistent that I send them my glasses.So much for me sweet talking her.LOL.

MelG, were on the same boat. Some members here sells lens and I have purchased from them. It's still a lot cheaper than buying from our local supplier even with the added cost in shipping and service fee of the paying agent. USPS express with tracking is the best way to ship item from abroad. It takes a little more than a week to reach you.

i completely understand MelG, purchasing ruby lenses here is like buying a brand new juliet...let me know if your friend is able to order ruby lenses without sending the frames...tnx
