It's a dark yellow with a mirror finish. Interesting lens.

There's one on Ebay if you go into the stores section. They look pretty nice.

I tried them the other day. Not going to be a favorite for too many. It's a very similar base to the nasty one used for the Fire lenses, without the awesome Iridium coating. The black mirror is very subtle, more in line with Persimmon Black Iridium.

I for one am a fan of the Polarized Amber Black Iridium lenses. I especially like them in the Chrome framed Crosshair combo.

The MD with Amber Black iridium Polarized are awasome, they are all I wear right now. brighten up the day, cant wait to wear them skiing & snowmobiling, because they seem to take away all shadows...

James, do you use it in traffic as well? Oakley warns it's not suitable for traffic use...

Not much macro on my phone but here's Gascan Amber Black Pola.

Yes I do wear then while driving, I see no difference at all.. I you were color blind I may see a reason why you would not want to wear them but I see no difference at all

I thought I made it clear earlier I see no problem differentiating traffic lights with my AB polarized gascans. An update on the comparison with Kaenon.. these lenses don't match up for boating. The reason why is a red reflection glare off any spray, my patrol boat windows, etc. even looking at the lake with chop there is a red glare visible off the reflected surface.

So Kaenon still rules, sorry "O",

There's only 2 possible explanations Ranger, either your eyes are defective or the Kaenon rep has you under some sort of hypnosis...say, the "K" in RangerK doesn't stand for Kaenon does it?!?!?

WOW O WOW i just tried out this lens in the O-store today on the WHY 8.2s and the gascans and i fookin love it. its more greeny than the contrast that you get with fire. so i shall definately be picking up the wy 8.2s when ive got the mula.

Anyone know how much just the ABP lenses run for the Gascan if purchased as a replacement?

I'd say $100. They're more costly than standard Polarized lenses since the Gascans aren't XYZ.
