The only digital watch available on the oakley website is the D3. Does anyone know why? Im hoping this means there releasing new digitals within the new year.

I would not count on this, last thing I heard, they are going in the mid to high end kind of watches...

Too bad, I know I am in the minority, but I love digital watches.

That sucks. I think the D1 is the best digital watch made. Timex is way overated.

I agree bong. I have a D1 and as far as I can tell, since I don't have the other digiatl models, I do prefer it over the others.

Well, D1 and D2 have the same module inside, just a different strap. Functionally they are the same.

Since you're so close on the analog, side, you may as well get all the digital ones too and complete the entire line of watches.

Yes a guy at the Sacramento O-store says Digital watches are being phased out. I wouldn't be surprised to even see the crush line dropped. I do have a D-2 watch that sits unused at work in a drawer.

I was the first person in the state of Oregon to buy a D-1 from a Motorcycle shop near Portland that got Oregon's first shipment. I still have that and it gets in the rotation.

Time flies!!!

heh... bad bad influences, all of you!
digital watches aren't really my thing, but since thay're Oakley, i'll have just one. should've gotten a D2 at Overstock when they still had it... oh well. but i do like the D1 better.

why the $60 difference if internally the D1 and D2 are the same? the outer casing/strap can't be that much of a different cost, can it?

The band for the D1 is separate from the main case, it has a metal icon, and two colours plus buttons.

The band for the D2 is integrated and is only one colour plus buttons.

That's the justification for it, I guess.

I think Oakley is making a mistake by not making anymore digitals. It is ranked as one of the top digital watches but its so expensive not many people will buy it.

For as much as there are asking it needs to have more functions. Like adding the GPS pace timer or a Heartrate monitor. Something to attract other consumers that are not Oakley lovers like all of us.
