The judge watch is swiss movement. The GMT is japanese movement. What is the difference and which one is better?

Swiss or japan movement refers to wear the watch was made.
Being that the Swiss have been making watches for centuries, it is believed that Swiss Movement is better. Personally, I think the black on black GMT is badass!

the Swiss like cheese , the japanese like sushi,
so both watches are good :-)

Swiss is a more precise and better movement.
Japan = cheap movement
Swiss = expensive

Both movenments work fine. Just because Swiss has the reputation doesn't always make it better. Anything mechanical/electronic can fail.
I'd say base your choice on the style you like not the movement it has.
Heck the casing and bands are made in China!

I think they're both quite depenable.
In a bit of humorous irony, I've got some China that was made in Switzerland

like with cars , they say german cars are the best , but the japanese cars seem to win every reliability-contest in the magazines/tv-shows
so , sushi it is

LOL!

Anyway, just out of curiousity, is it true that the Chinese have the best Titanium? I believe thats what Oakley claims in their GMT pitch

Titanium is Titanium. It is just cheaper to cast it in Japan. Cheap labor with those 10 year olds making the timebomb.

Swiss movements used to be made (a long time ago) by hand and so were thought to be the best and therefore most expensive. Now they’re mostly generic and made (by a company called ETA) in a factory just like the jap ones, which are now widely regarded to be more accurate/reliable. Fred’s car analogy is exactly right. I would actually prefer a jap movement since it’ll probably be easier to service and almost certainly cost less to repair in the unlikely event of a malfunction. A Swiss movement may require you to go looking for a place (technician) that specializes in Swiss mechanisms. My 2c.

all versions of Crush, Detonator, and GMT are Japanese Movement, while Torpedo, Bullet, Blade, Saddleback, and Judge are Swiss Movement.

it's hot, humid, and quite Oakley-less. :(
however, i did convince my bro to get a pair of RX Clear Square Wire 2.0 though... and he also gets to keep the original Black Iridium lenses if he wants to switch it around. these will be his second pair of Oakleys, i just might have him converted yet, LOL.

later guys!
