heh Alexis, gotta keep up on current events, or you'll miss things! :P
i'm sure you'll love Episode Three, it blows 1 and 2 out of the water. even a skeptic like me had me convinced, i was expecting some really bad dialogue and a poor story line (like the first two) but Episode 3 really blew me away.
i'll have to see it again and decide whether Revenge of the Sith unseats my favourite Star Wars chapter, The Empire Strikes Back.
well sadly im not out seeing ep 3 at the mo cos my loser girlfriend is insisting on watching the stupid eurovision song contest so im gonna have to wait till 2moro.
oh well.
i dont know why i thought it was released in April im sure i saw commercials with it saying April.
FYI - that "Grievous" vehicle referred to earliers is much less "Oakley-ish" in person than the picture.....think it's going to have to go to a nephew.....damn false advertising.....
Saw it last night, ended up going to the 10pm showing and it was great! I might even go and see it again....
As a follow on I have just bought the original (i.e. without all the new CG rubbish thats been put on the DVDs) episodes on VHS with a view to converting them to DVD, we'll see how that goes...
Just been to see it tonight, and it was excellent.
On a side note, I have enjoyed all of the films, and I cant understand why people pull episode 1 apart, because its a good film in my eyes.
(I dont mean any of you guys,I just mean in general)
How do all but three Jedi get offed yet Jar Jar lives on to annoy. I simply cannot believe they didn't whack him! I would've loved to see a scene where Jar-Jar gets a hold of a light saber but can't figure out how to turn it on, so he looks right down the end of it just as it turns on & burns a hole right through his floppy-eared skull! I would have stood & cheered!
You're not the first person I know to have said that. Personally I haven't seen them, so I can't really pass comment, all I know was that I loved that film!
Just saw this film - can't really say anything that hasn't been said already, but it was awesome. So good.
I really wanted to like Ep1; I guess it fits best in light of all that came after. On its own it's only okay.
I also re-viewed ROTJ last week. It was the first time I saw it since Lucas re-jiggered things. I couldn't believe that scene in Jabba's palace with the singing alien. Completely awful (and I even thought Jar Jar was okay, so that's saying something). I half expected some alien to break out a set of futuro-turntables. Bleagh.
That's about 15 hours worth of Star Wars. I could probably do it, but the madness that would ensue after, that will be unstoppable. I may just believe I am the Chosen one....
I have often thought about trying to do it with the extended lord of the rings trilogy, but there again, eleven and a half hours for three films is a bit scary........
