Howdy all!

I have been scouring the web looking for information regarding a table and bench I've had for years and came across this form.

Forgive my ignorance if this is in the wrong spot, or an inappropriate post, etc., but I've had them for ages and don't know how to "value" them.

Can anyone help me find out if they're indeed Oakley, and if so, how I can 'appraise' them, for lack of a better word?

Thanks tons for any info!

Your table / bench are indeed Oakley. They are called Strectchline and there are three different display cases that go with it...

Value is in the eye of the beholder as with most collectibles.

Oh, cool - thanks for letting me know.

And sure, value is all relative. If nobody wants it, its worth nothing!

Is there another resource on the internets to find out more about them?

Cheers and thanks.

Other than pricing, what other info are you looking for?

They are nesting tables as Robert mentioned. There should be two smaller versions with the same motif than slide underneath it. They were used in stores in and around the 2003 or 2004 era.

Morgan Concepts was one of several manufacturers that made display cases for Oakley. One of the display pieces they made, of course, is your table. In fact, it was Morgan Concepts that helped Oakley make one of their first aluminum towers.

Awesome - thanks to both of you - those are good nuggets.

And you ask a fine question: I'm looking for general trivia like how many there are, are there different styles/manufacturers/etc. - what distinguishing marks are there/variations, how to maintain/care for etc.

I have also found an image of a bench that looks slightly different than the ones I have. Plus I never thought to ask, and now I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible. So, literally, "more information".

Whatever antiques roadshow would tell someone lol

Also, it seems Morgan Concepts is no longer a company, otherwise I'd head straight to them.

If you want some real insider information, you can reach out to Nabs Carlson, who not only worked for Oakley during its heyday, but also at Morgan during the period when the tables were produced:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/nabscarlson

There are several versions of the nesting tables over the years, with yours being one of the earliest. Not sure how many were made or how many different manufacturers ended up making them.

Other than that, slap some WD40 on it to keep it from rusting.

Plot thickens! I've managed to get the rest of the set we bought for work, and am now cleared and looking to sell it all as a group.

Its 1 giant long table, 2 tables as pictured above, and 2 benches.

Is there a section I should head towards in this forum, or another venue that might be more appropriate?

Thanks so much for your help, its been valuable.

You could put it in the for sale thread down on the bottom in classifieds
