I was introduced to your site by a couple of Oakley employees/collectors from the Little Rock, Ar store yesterday. I really look forward to utilizing your database for research purposes as I begin to build my collection. Though not new to Oakley (I've been wearing Oakleys for around 20 years), I have really just begun my collection. I've recently added approximately 40 pair to the collection.

My primary focus for my collection lies with the Five as they were my introduction to Oakley and remain my favorite design. I've had the opportunity to pick up examples of each production line and continue to search for pieces in better condition and those models which I am missing. My favorite individual pair though would have to be my 2001 Polished Penny/Black Iridium w/original box, penny, and Hebrew rep label which I picked up while deployed to Egypt in 2002. They were a promotion gift to myself the day I became an NCO.

Welcome to the site. We'd love to see what you've amassed so far. I like the Five also but, a little small for my noggin. I did buy one for My younger Son, though.

Welcome! I fondly remember having the Algae/Gold Fives way back when - what a fun colorway!

Welcome. The Five is a nice classic model. I have a few examples. I'd love to see that Hebrew label at some point. Sounds like it's unique.

As I learn to navigate better, I hope to find more examples of the various versions of the Five 2.0. I picked up a pair a few weeks ago that are a gunmetal finish. I would rate them 9+/10. The only issue I have is that I can't find documented evidence that they are original.

That would be the 'Dark Chrome' colorway

http://o-review.com/database_detail_colorway.php?ID=78&table_name=glasses

It's not a common frame color and was only on a few other frames, notably the Kennseth edition Splice. Black Chrome, which was a little more brown/purple, was the norm on things like the Scar and Eye Jackets.
