I was introduced to your site by a couple of Oakley employees/collectors from the Little Rock, Ar store yesterday. I really look forward to utilizing your database for research purposes as I begin to build my collection. Though not new to Oakley (I've been wearing Oakleys for around 20 years), I have really just begun my collection. I've recently added approximately 40 pair to the collection.

My primary focus for my collection lies with the Five as they were my introduction to Oakley and remain my favorite design. I've had the opportunity to pick up examples of each production line and continue to search for pieces in better condition and those models which I am missing. My favorite individual pair though would have to be my 2001 Polished Penny/Black Iridium w/original box, penny, and Hebrew rep label which I picked up while deployed to Egypt in 2002. They were a promotion gift to myself the day I became an NCO.

Sorry everyone, just getting back to checking up on things after being away for training for a couple of weeks.

Thank you all for the great information. I've been looking closely at the Revant and Fuse brands. I'd really love to go with custom cut as I have a few OEM lens sets which would be sufficient. Could someon offer guidance as to who I could contact for this?

My favorite Oakley models are the various Five series. I haven't had a problem finding older frames in good condition (1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and XS), but most I have found have minimal to horrible damage to lenses. As I begin my sear for replacements, I find VERY few sets of NOS. I have found good prices on new after market lenses made by primarily three different companies; REVANT, FUSE, and INEW. How do thes companies rank in your opinions?

I have the opportunity to purchase part of a collection. The part I'm interested in are the FIVE 1.0s. How hard is it going to be to track down original lenses as all of the pieces I'm considering purchasing are "Frame Only". I'll need the following lenses:

Black Iridium x 4 pair
Emerald Iridium x 3 pair
Gold Iridium x 3 pair
Grey Polarized x 1 pair

Before I agree to a price, I want an idea of what kind of headache I'm looking at getting myself into. I'm being told all 11 frames are in near mint condition.

As I learn to navigate better, I hope to find more examples of the various versions of the Five 2.0. I picked up a pair a few weeks ago that are a gunmetal finish. I would rate them 9+/10. The only issue I have is that I can't find documented evidence that they are original.
