I just had the opportunity to watch this film a few years late. I thought that it was a pretty good movie. The movie was also featured on the Red Demo real video as a movie shot with the Red Camera.

Does anyone have experience with movie props?

Specifically, has anyone seen anything like this?:

These Inmates ended up in the hands of a huge movie prop collector. I called around and I feel that he and the company that he purchased them from is reputable. The company said that they got all of the glasses that were used in production (4) and sold them back in 2010. I was just looking for some feedback if anyone has bumped into anything like these. I purchased them from him with all the documentation. I hope that they are legit........

Hi Aaron, I bought a pair of these from the Oakley store in London's Covent Garden after seeing how bad ass they looked in the film. I have just looked at the film again and the ones Denzal wears do not have the wrapping around the arms. The ones in the film are the polarised lenses with silver frames. Hope this helps.

I forgot about this movie. The opening scene where he's hunting that cat (while blind!) ranks pretty high for me.

What was the base frame colour of the Inmate? Hard to tell on screen since colours were intentionally washed out. Looked liked brushed chrome or a sanded down polished chrome. Some have props they claimed were screen-used, but they were a sanded down, distressed gold frame.

They were a distressed or sanded down version of a stock Polished Gold pair, so it would be silver- we were asked to make this pair of glasses as "they would look 30 years from now and after being through a few fights". Funny how the lenses didn't have one scratch on them.
