I bet a wholesome of you old timers knew about this but I'd like to share them to the non-vets

1) Romeo exchange program (2003-2005?)- send in any X-Metal Romeo in for an even exchange of any X-Metals that is the same value or lower. So the secret here was to buy a beat up pair of Romeo for a low as $50 from eBay then send them to warranty for a brand spanking new XX 24K or any Juliet.

2) Nationwide Nordstrom Rack $75 any X-Metals (2009) - a bunch of Juliet, mostly Polished w/ VR28 Blk, some X-Metals/blk. A few Romeo 2 ( can't remember the colorways). They were mostly in great to excellent condition and some came with a bonus carbon fiber case.(from nano wire)

3) Nationwide Circuit City $2.99for any Oakley Thump accessories (2004)- this includes any ballistic cases big and small, car chargers and wall chargers. These were not on clearance, it was just some type of error or promotion in the system because the regular Oakley store were still selling them for $30.

4) Direct orders through customer service. (2003-2005)- for a while, juliet lenses like Titanium Clear, 24K and Ichiro blue and slate lenses were available to order at a regular $50-$60. I believe this was the same for the blue and red tune up kits. The Ti clear Plasma/ Polished and Carbon/24k Juliets were never really released in the US but the replacement lenses were available.

5) Sunglass Hut redesign (2005) when Luxottica Group took full control of the stores, they wanted all Oakley towers gone so the stores were either giving them away for free/selling for dirt cheap to whoever can pick them up on time before the store overhaul.

6) ( not really a big secret)Nationwide Shoe Pavilion - Oakley Flesh Shoes (2005) -$30 or less
A wide variety of Flesh, Flesh net, Flesh sandals and Flesh Bottlecap were available for a variety of sizes and colors

Well, these were the ones that I knew of. It was truly a blast from the past to have taken advantage of them. Please share if you had some.

I don't know if it's a secret but back in 2005, the Medusa goggle was one of the things that was cheaper in Canada than in the US ($160 or 180 CDN vs. $250 USD). I could never understand why that was (since most items had a 50% markup on American prices), but I'm glad I got one at the cheaper price. Should've gotten more given how in demand they are now.

One of the best I discovered by chance is for regular ebay buyers to buy from other countries and not just their current. Many sellers from EU, Canada, AU, are willing to ship to the US if you ask. I have found really good deals on things that I would have paid 5X more from the US.

Not sure if this is a deal or not but oakley vault had a watch clearance around '09 3 hand crank cases for $150. 3rd party retailer websites like 6pm and steep and cheap has deals on sunglasses and accessories every now and then.

Oakley's Patio sales event would have been a yearly steals if they have not cancelled it for 2011 because of oakleyvault.com. Too bad the last one was in 2010. $100 on all x metals including ducati's. Most sunglasses at $30, Even Smith, fox, Ray bans and Oliver peoples at $30-$40. Thumps electronics at $50. Time bomb watches are $200's. $50's on the Blade and detonators etc. apparels, bags, shoes are at 70% or more off and much more to mention.
