Bad taste in glasses, good taste in website. The odd thing is the seller did have some good authentic items in the past.

I have reported several items as fakeson EBay. It doesn't seem like they do anything about it. I even got harassed by a seller, reported that, but the seller is still at large selling fakes...

ebay still get their cut of the sales, so they aren't highly motivated to do the right thing.

Yeah, I guess that is a problem.
I bought a pair of Juliets this spring. The picture showed a genuine pair, but the pair a got was a Chinese fake. Had to return it on my own expense, and EBay wasn't really interested in solving the problem in the right way.

The question in the auction where the "interested buyer" mentions when "gas stations stopped peddling them" is classic....the seller even responded.

LOL

Q: WHOA MAN! I am a HUGE collector and fan, and this pair is so hard to find since the gas stations stopped peddling them. Can you tell me if you have more than 1 color available? I am interested in buying one of each color. Aug-14-13
A: man, i dunno. i've been running around my buddy's (two actually) house (houses) snagging them up and selling them. They can't sell cause they are sponsored,,,contract stuff. they won't let you resell,,but i can. i'll look around. i thought i saw a white pair but lost track of where. keep an eye out and if i find any more like this (what model, is this?) i'll let you know.

What is needed is for a company to hire a few (OK a lot of) ebay users to report fakes to ebay and then record those auctions not being taken down. That company could then use that evidence to win a nice amount in court from ebay.

These days, Oakley just doesn't seem as motivated in tracking things down.

I think that the "Report Fakes" page on their website is merely to appease the few who actually do care.
