My parents went to Winstar Casino in OK this weekend and my Mom told me she saw an O cup as a free gift when you made a purchase. She didn't get me details on how much, but she may go again this weekend.

Anyone here care to post their prototypes for everyone to appreciate? I am relatively new to collecting and would love to see your treasures.. those would relatively be something new to me. thanks in advanced..

Just have a few that are true prototypes. Usually they fall into one of two categories: either an in-house test, or an athlete sample.

My hand painted Flying Tiger Oil Rig is a test of the color scheme, which later was used on the Gascan. There's also a Yellow hand painted Gascan, and two blue Hijinx.

These two are athlete samples. Usually identical to production models, but with varying color schemes.

This might also fall under the same category, but I don't know the details.

This was one of 7 used to test the interest in flame patterns. A normal black pair was airbrushed and sold at the Irvine Spectrum store. After that, the flame pattern became a print.

And I still have no idea, nor any records of the Purple Cloud Frogskin. However the Bronze lens matches the options at the time.

is that a ruby clear on the new zero?

Regular ruby, but the intense curve just wasn't meant to have such a lens, since it rainbows too much.

I'm guessing it was just a larger frame so the color scheme could show up better. Especially if done by hand, while the smaller gascan didn't need to be as large since the artwork was automated.

Yeah, Brian Takumi did a Dark Knight series. Here's the Frogskin:

Does that mean the joker garage rock was really done by oakley and not other customizers? How many were made? The frog looks awesome..

If I had to guess, it was an unofficial set of customs done by the designers. Its "made by Oakley" only so far as they were created by people who happened to work there.

Hey Bayani, I saw the auction for the GR as well and also had my doubts. It may be made by Oakley, it may not. Rule of thumb nowadays is "Fake (or custom in this case) until unequivocally proven real".
