I've always wanted an Oakley case for my iPhone, but I haven't been able to bring myself to pay for any of their offerings.

They have all seemed too cheap and flimsy. Their Cylinder Block case is plastic with fake carbon fiber. The Hazard is just as bad.

We've all seen The Flask, we know they still have the design magic. If they could apply that same design language to a case in the $100-200 range I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I'd settle for an all aluminum case.

Element Case makes this beast, if it was Oakley I'd have bought it already.

I'm still waiting to see if they pursue the premium case market.

Completely agreed! That case is awesome, just think what Oakley could come up with...

I understand they were bought and are probably more focused on making money than they were before, but it seems the premium iPhone case market is lacking.

The iPhone accessory market is so huge, I just think they are missing out.

Absolutely agree. I would easily pay a premium for a killer iPhone case.

I think the cost of making a very good Iphone case is higher and probably no reliable cause in 6 months a year max it would be obsolete.

I do think O isn't putting a ton of time into the cases because of what Eduardo said. The current cases are kinda a compromise I think. They get something out into the market that is decent - even if it's not OTT Oakley design like the Flask - but don't necessarily put a ton of R&D dollars into it.

I do wish they'd still go all out on one. I'd also buy one in a second. I have an Element case for iPhone 4 and aesthetically it's awesome. The closest thing to an Oakley "metal" case there is.

The first Unobtainium case for the iPhone 3G was amazing. That thing was indestructible. Ever since then the overall quality of the cases has gone down. My Unobtainium case for my iPhone 4 was okay. It was a bit too hard and made me nervous if the phone fell, which happened quite a bit.

That element carbon fiber case is looking better every day.

Found the most Oakleyesque iPhone case.

$99. Trigger by 4th Design.

saw that as well. Shame iPhones are, what seems to be, the "top" phone on the market.

That is a cool case. A bit bulky but I still like it. The price is reasonable too.

To resurrect a dead thread, what do you guys think of the new Throttle Switchlock iPhone case?

Expensive. I keep my 4S in a $10 Magpul case and it's taken a tumble twice with no ill-effect.

I really like the Throttle Switchlock case. But a guy at work has connections at a company with a laser burn table. For a 6 pack (which he, for some reason, didn't collect on) he would burn out anything we wanted.

Long story short:

The hardware I need is pretty specialized, and I don't feel like running around town to find it. So Im going to have to get it off the internet. I'll post a picture of it all assembled when I'm done.

Any guesses as to if/when Oakley will put out cases for the iPhone 6/6 Plus?

Last I heard Oakley will no longer make Apple accessories.

That's a serious bummer! Is it because of Lux's alignment with Google glass (or the ethereal "other technology product")?
