i always tough the only edition without serial was the polished with emerald late release

I had one with complete box bag and rubbers with no serial. But I bought it off eBay so couldn't ever establish provenance.

This was in 2005 a bit before the value went sky high and customizing wasn't the rage. But still...I never was sure.

The Polished/Slate all had serials (unless they were customs). The Polished/Emerald/Slate started with serials but during production they stopped serializing X-Metals.

Terrorism your statement is not entirely true there were Polished/Slate Ichiro's that did not have a serial. I had a pair sent direct from Oakley that did not have a serial. I later bought a pair BNIB that did have a serial and sold the un-serialized pair.

I also own a pair of non-serialed Polished Carbon Ichiro Juliets (direct from HQ as well), but the official Polished Carbon Ichiro Juliet release all had serials.
