So, I haven't noticed anyone else even mentioning the Legion of Oakley comic book.

First off, check legionofoakley.com

Second, this "comic" uses some pretty badass artists: Alvin Lee, Sam Kieth, Mel Marcelo, MK Perker, Whilce Portacio, Amy Hadley, Simon Bisley, and Shane Davis. Oakley shelled out some cash for this.

It's basically an ad for technical outerwear, but I dig it. If you get creative with staple removal, the cover folds out into a poster, but will fold back to being a comic book.

......and be careful these were free, though someone is already trying to sell them on the bay

I nearly bought one on eBay some months back.
Actually did, then got a free one from the local O-store the same day.
Confronted seller, and cancelled transaction.

If anyone wants one, I managed to snag a couple extra. When I was at my local O-Store, they tried to convince me to take a whole stack. Alas, I was not thinking of my O-Review brethren at the time. I will repent for my crimes.

Not sure why any of us would pay for it, but i can see why some people would be willing to pay for it if they dont have a local O store or vault near them.

Its really no different than buying a brown flores on ebay for, say 400, and trying to resell it for 650. I mean if someone is willing to pay for it, someone will be willing to sell it to them.

I didn't see any at my local store. If anyone has an extra one, I'd love to get a copy.

i called the o-store in sf and also the vault store in milpitas and none of them have heard about this comic / ad handout. is it like a regional thing?

Check ski and snowboard shops that carry oakley as well, not just O stores....this includes shops that carry the goggles.

My oakley store had them, but went today and they are out :-(

These were made available in O-stores as early as 11-Nov-2010, because that was the day I bought my USA Flag Icon sticker and picked up a copy. I've seen it on and off on eBay, just not in avalanche fashion. If I recall correctly, some were scalping them for up to $30 each + shipping.

Thats odd as all O-Stores should have got a big box of them, but as someone else said it should have been back in Nov. so most stores have probably ran out.

My wife and I (and my inlaws) all received one of these at our houses going into the Christmas shopping season, as early as October perhaps. Its pretty cool item, just never got around to talking about it because of limited time.
