I was just wondering my timebomb somehow just got a little scratch in the crystal I was wondering if there's anyway to replace the crystal or get it fixed...
I'd wait till it got worse but i'd still like to find out.

Yeah, you can send it back to Foothill and they will replace the crystal. I think it runs about $45-50 or so. I waited until my crystal was bad enough to warrant the return and sent it in about a year ago. Unfortunately for me, it went "lost" in the mail and it took a good 4-5 months with the USPS to get my insurance $$ out of them. Ahh, *sigh*.

Can anyone tell me if overstock.com (mentioned above)are a reputable retailer. Has anyone bought from them before. That would make the timebomb about £260 as opposed to £1000 in stores (seems too good to be true). Also, does anyone know if they ship to the UK cos if they do then my Visa is going to get its ass kicked.

Thanks Tim. Does overstock impose the customs charge themselves or is it only on arrival of the watch in Britain that you are open to being charged the £105.
I have friends in the states. If I get it shipped to them does anyone know if there is still a charge. I doubt customs on either side would be any the wiser if my friends just fed-exed it to me.
If anyone could offer advice on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Can't beat the price for a great TimeBomb. My only hesitation would be regarding some earlier threads discussing the variations on the metal bands that came with the different TB versions. Personally, I favor the clamshell metal clasp and the curvy links ... while most of the discounted TBs out there seem to be a basic clasp with straight links.

A reply to cost of importing to the UK.
Anything sent with a value of more than £18 or so,
is liable to import duties. When the item is sent the sender has to declare the value of the enclosed item, this also done for insurance and is written on the package.
The UK customs dept is however very short staffed and lots of items get through without a charge, when they do charge it hurts, Import tax plus an added £18 or so Royal mail "handling" charges.
The best way to have items sent is by declaring the value to be less than £18. Making sure though that the item requires a signature on receipt.
heh... i'm so close to ordering that white Timebomb. but when i do my credit card statement this month will be shocking. i'll be broke, but i'll have a Timebomb.

That's the plain clasp with straight links. The other band has the curved links and the clasp has an engraved icon. Very similar to the GMT band, if that helps at all.
