Amazing bag for urban use. Loaded with features you will all use for your everyday gear and gadgets. Fantastic for commuting. The sling makes for moving through crowds in the mall and the train easier than with a backpack. What impresses me most about this bag is that you could access all compartments while slinged on your back. Stow documents and magazines on the move in the back compartment and pull out your Starbucks mug at the same time from the bottle holder while answering a call from your mobile. That kind of convenience is just not possible for a regular pack. Even the zippers could be closed with one hand. Although it could use lockble zipper pulls for peace of mind against pick pockets on those rush hour commutes. It really looks cool for a messenger bag. Oakley's industrial design people could really take something otherwise mediocre to another level.

Women have their handbag. I've got my Sandbag.

My workmates bought me this bag (along with an x-metal vault for my Juliet's) for my 21st present. I was blown away by the price ($198 Australian!!!) but also by the amount of features they managed to fit on what is essentially a backpack.

It has so many buckles and straps I don't know what half this shit does. I swear to god Oakley have put some stuff on here for practical use and other stuff just to look cool. What are those two plastic buckles for on the side of the bag? The shotgun cartridge holders? Talk about thinking outside the square.

This bag is the most awesome backpack I have ever seen. It has pockets and features that make my life a whole lot easier. I use this bag for anything, from going to uni, work, the beach or riding my bike. It has a spot for my iPod, my pen, my beach towel (the straps on the bottom. Just roll up your towel and strap it in), my water bottle and my loose change.

I love this bag because it crossed practicality with cutting edge, kick ass design.

Oakley hits a home run.

I love Oakley products. In fact, I own stock. So it's no surprise that I looked to see what Big "O had to offer by way of an everyday work or fun bag. I often need to bring documents, small packages, electronics, to and from work. The Sandbag is the perfect size. It has more compartments than you can throw a stick at. I used to have a Creative Zen mp3 player. This was before everyone tried to get their players iPod size. There is an internal pocket that holds the player perfectly. It's nice and padded. There are two holes in the bag for you to pass cables through. So you can be walking and listening to music, without all the cables getting tangled up.

There are mesh pockets, zippers, Velcro, pen slot, etc. I use every compartment for some sort of little knick knack. I have contact solution, lip balm, batteries, pen, my cell phone, etc.

On the shoulder strap there are shotgun shell loops. If that is not bad ass, I am not sure what is.

Not to follow trends, but this single strap bag is excellent. I treat mine as a brief case (or purse) and use it on a daily basis. It's compartments are great and are hidden all over the bag. In the straps, inside, and the back. It has an MP3 Player pocket inside that works wonders (slightly too large for the iPod) and is perfect for larger players. Comfortable and easy to get on and off. I have had no problems with the buckles, straps or zipper pulls. The only one little problem I had is with the rubber handle. It has started to fray were it is stitched to the bag. I caught the first side a year into ownership and dabbed some superglue on the frays and the same for the other side just this past spring. It made a great fix. This bag is excellent for every day use, day trips, the beach, biking and the like. I wouldn't recommend it for school books though and it can't hold a laptop. Maybe the 12" iBook.

I've been using this sling a solid seven years, and it's still holding up nicely.
